DACs - τελειωμό δεν έχουν

δλδ vet, λες οτι ειναι καλυτερα αν καποιος απλα "ξυσει την επιφανεια" και το θελει για ν αναπαραγει αρχεια hd μεσω του pc και μεχρις εκει, ειναι περιττο να δωσει ακομα και αυτο το σχετικα μικρο ποσο σε σχεση με αλλα και να παρει μια "καρτα ηχου"?

πχ εσυ που ασχολεισαι με ενεργα και εχεις και καρτα ηχου, τη metric, σε ποιο κομματι της αλυσιδας τη χρησιμοποιεις?...χρησιμοποιεις και εξωτερικο dac, εκτος της metric?...εχει ασυγχρονο usb η συγκεκριμενη?

υ.γ. ψαχνω να βρω και το post που ειχαν γραψει για τις "σηκωμαρες" μετα απο τη χρηση metric, μπας και βγαλω ακρη

"The 560 [CHF23'000] with "preamplifier-grade output stages" offers AES/EBU, S/PDIF, Toslink, async DSP-based USB and LAN inputs and 32/384 PCM and DSD128 compatibility. Upsampling uses 32-bit floating point DSP whilst the reconstruction filter is based on Soulution's 'zero-phase tech' described as "a 3rd-order bessel filter with a cut-off frequency of 120kHz that ordinarily would show a phase shift of up to 15° in the audio band" but due to their solution remains "below 1° from 20Hz-120kHz.

Core specs are 2/4Vrms output voltage on RCA/XLR, 10-ohm output impedance, 140dB S/NR, 0-80dB attenuation and ±9dB balance control."

Δεν ξέρω αν το έχουμε δείξει αυτό http://www.avmentor.gr/news_2014/pro_ject_audio_dac_box_pre_box.htm αλλά φαίνεται πολύ εντυπωσιακό με πολλά καλούδια όπως δύο κυκλώματα DAC με διαφορετικά chip,επιλογή ψηφιακού φίλτρου και διπλό αναλογικό στάδιο,υποστηρίζει dsd μέχρι 128Χ,καθώς και δυνατότητα σύνδεσης με εξωτερικό τροφοδοτικό.
Ξέρει κανείς κάτι παραπάνω?

Auralic ARIES USB DAC και streamer

The ARIES serves as a "bridge" between music files on network storage or high quality online streaming services and the consumers' DAC -- enabling DACs for the first time to stream high-resolution music quickly and wirelessly in virtually any sampling rate, including DSD, Double-Rate DSD and DXD.

ARIES is powered by AURALiC's proprietary Telsa hardware platform that includes a Quad-Core ARM Coretex-A9 processor running at 1GHz, 1GB DDR3 onboard memory and 4GB internal storage. The Telsa platform has a calculation ability of 25,000 MIPS, more than enough to decode a vast spectrum of audio formats, including AAC, AIFF, ALAC, APE, DIFF, DSF, FLAC, MP3, OGG, WAV, WV and WMA.

The inputs of ARIES include Dual-Band high-speed WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0 port. The outputs are USB audio host buffered by AURALiC's patented ActiveUSB™ technology; low jitter digital audio outputs: AES/EBU, Coaxial and TOSLINK. The USB audio host can deliver PCM from 44.1 to 384 KHz at 16-, 24- and 32-bit resolutions as well as DSD, Double-Rate DSD for compatible USB DAC. The other digital outputs are limited to 192 KHz at 24-bit in maximum according to S/PDIF standard.

By using OpenHome structure which is adopted by U.K-based streaming solution manufacturer Linn, ARIES as well as all other Lightning based products support several advanced functions such as on-device playlist that allow control software to turn off during play and complete supporting of multi-room, multiple control points -- functions that are not part of the legacy standards of the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) and Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA).

ARIES is bundled with AURALiC's Lightning DS App. The App has the capability to fully control ARIES to browse your music libraries on your network-attached storage (NAS), to steam high quality music content from service providers like Qobuz and WiMP, to control the playback and to select the hardware settings such as output channel and WiFi network, etc. The App also supports Songcast, a music distribution service that allows users to map computer's sound to any Lightning-equipped system and to map sound between different Lightning systems in the house and streaming sound though Apple AirPlay.

The Lighting DS App is available on the iOS platform now with two dedicated versions optimized for operation on iPad and iPhone, respectively. The Android version of Lightning DS App will be available by September 2014, followed with desktop versions that support both Mac and Windows PC by the end of 2014.

ARIES is also compatible with other OpenHome and uPnP AV based control software such as Linn Kinsky and BubbleDS, although those software do not support most of Lightning DS App's advanced functions such as the online streaming and hardware settings.

ARIES also features a 3" OLED display to let users view playback status, and an AURALiC RC-1 remote control to control basic operations such as Play, Pause and Select Track without needing to open the Lightning DS App.

To the original Young design, M2Tech have added three new features: balanced outputs, DSD compatibility and pre-amplifier functionality.

M2Tech have gone clever-clever in helping you keep the Young pre’s output voltage better matched to your power amplifier’s input sensitivity. They’ve implemented switchable doubling/halving of output voltages for both single-ended and balanced outputs:

ετυχε σημερα που πηγα να παρω κατι απο audio καταστημα, να το εχει να παιζει συνδεμενο σε λαπτοπ, παρεα με ηχεια Living Voice και ενισχυτικα, προ και τελικο, της Burson Audio...

το συστημα επαιζε παρα πολυ καλα...βαλαμε και pcm και dsd αρχεια...σε ορισμενα κομματια, ακουσα διαφορες μεταξυ φορμα...σε αλλα, οχι...αλλα ισως δεν προσεξα και πολυ γιατι κουβεντιαζαμε και ενδιαμεσα...παντως, πολυ καλο κομματι το συγκεκριμενο dac...

Background

Computer audio technology is advancing at breakneck speed. AMR/iFi is at the cutting-edge of this. The upcoming micro iDSD propels our market-defining position even further ahead.

We have made extensive enquiries and to the best of our knowledge, the micro iDSD will be the very first DAC in the world capable of ALL 3 of the following, native: Octa-Speed DSD512, PCM768kHz and 2xDXD!!! (Up/OverSampling does not count, sorry!)


By comparison, even the most expensive DACs in the world costing upwards of US$50,000, are a little “old hat” as they are several format levels behind only now, attaining:

Explanation

We are all in the pursuit of ever better quality of audio playback. DSD is in resurgence and shows no signs of abating. PCM should cannot be ignored as the library of PCM vs DSD recordings is still overwhelmingly in favour of PCM.

For us, we don’t favour one format over the other. We enjoy both and we believe you should do too. The hard part is to source music on each format – life is too short to worry about which format is “better” we’d rather you enjoy both to the highest possible standard.

How this benefits the listener

Since we have been running this Crowd-Design project, along the way, we hope you have gathered a better sense of why we do not concern ourselves so much with each format, but offer the widest choice possible whilst making a recommendation based upon what we like, but always advising that you find what you like.

In this case, by being able to select the correct format for each file type, you have ensured a chain that is

DSD recording > DSD playback

Or

PCM recording > PCM playback

This matters because we strongly believe that the original cannot be bettered and should be retained end-to-end (i.e. not just on the playback side as we always talk about the whole chain).

With this OTW#1, Quad-Speed DSD256 recordings are now making a breakthrough and we have it on good authority that Pyramix and Sonoma which are already on the Quad-Speed DSD256 standard will see a revision in 3Q 2014 to enable their recording systems to handle Octa-SpeedDSD512.

This does not include the moves by recording studios to also move to a higher sample rate on the PCM format.

What this means for you, the micro iDSD customer is real, hard future-proofing for many years to come. And from day one!
