For audiophile enjoyment with streaming speakers, the same acoustic requirements that apply to traditional wired speakers need to be met. This means that two identical loudspeakers in a stereo arrangement are an absolute necessity. If each of the two stereo speakers are individually controlled, as is the case with most Wi-Fi loudspeakers from other manufacturers, they will not receive the audio signal at exactly the same time. The resulting imbalance leads to a less than ideal listening experience.

With the Stereo M, Raumfeld uses its Real Time Stereo Link for the utterly synchronous playback from both speakers. This results in a harmonious and highly precise sound image with a highly differentiated deep bass range.

The original Speaker M had a very strong bass performance; the Stereo M goes a step further. We’ve given this model a dedicated woofer for bass playback. A bass reflex vent using Air Stream Bass technology ensures that the low end is not disturbed by any wind noise.

The midrange driver and tweeter are arranged coaxially, a construction that prevents differences in propagation times and approaches the ideal of a point source. This same technology can also be found in our other Wi-Fi stereo speakers, the Raumfeld Stereo Cubes, with the same result: Instruments and voices are tangibly close and precisely rendered. A waveguide for the tweeter helps create a very broad sound dispersion for an even, well-blended sound that can be appreciated from every listening position.

The days of amassing a huge amount of equipment, stacking them on shelves and low boards and cabling them together in order to appreciate high-quality music playback are over. The Raumfeld Stereo M performs the tasks of an amplifier, tuner, CD or record player and loudspeakers all in two compact enclosures and without compromise. On the contrary, thanks to a 320 watt integrated, low noise class D amplifier, the Stereo M outperforms many floorstanding stereo speakers.

A free Raumfeld App for Android and iOS devices is all you need to control the speakers including all streaming functionality. You can select a listening zone, control the volume in all rooms individually, or simply browse through your music collection or the various streaming services offered including WiMP and Spotify. An equalizer even allows you to adjust the sound in each listening zone. The Raumfeld App makes it possible to create your own playlists as well as access the playlists others have made available. Because the Raumfeld system is modular, you can expand a single pair of Stereo M speakers into amultiroom setup with the purchase of other Raumfeld devices. All can be controlled and played together thanks to the app.

4 direct selection buttons on the Stereo M mean that you are not dependent on the app to control the device. TIDAL– Enjoy millions of songs in lossless sound quality

Browse through Napster’s gigantic selection with the Raumfeld App or Controller. Their music flat rate allows you unlimited enjoyment. Over 18 million songs along with a wide selection of audio books, book readings, and other features are at your disposal.

Tunein – 70,000 radio stations
Tunein allows you to listen to radio programs from around the world. Enjoy special interest channels for classic, jazz, or punk or the latest DJ mixes. Stream local radio stations throughout the house and all in the highest sound quality. The Raumfeld App allows you to save your favourite stations.

USB storage devices, NAS storage systems, DLNA/UPnP
Play music from your own music collection stored on a network, NAS storage system, or external hard drive/USB storage device. A USB storage device can be directly connected to the Connector.

Media players such as the Windows Media Player 12 or Twonky allow you to stream music stored on PCs or Macs via the Connector without loss. Raumfeld systems are also able to communicate with DLNA-/UPnP-enabled devices.

Direct Android-Streaming
The Connector can stream music saved on your Android smartphone or tablet quickly and directly - without a loss of quality.

Direct iOS streaming
The Connector can stream music saved on your Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod directly, wirelessly, and without quality loss.

Multiroom & multimusic with extra EQ
You can combine the Controller with a Stereo S, M or One and bypass the need for a Raumfeld Base. The Connector services as a music server with 160 GB hardrive and creates an independent WLAN connection which improves the performance and speed of an existing Raumfeld setup. Depending on the quality of the WLAN, your existing router and positioning of the Connector, you will not require a Base.

In the Raumfeld App or Controller, you can define listening zones and fill these with different or the same sounds. Lossless, synchronous wireless playback is the result. You can select a different EQ setting per listening zone.

Stream via line-in
Connect your record or CD player, iTeufel Dock v3 or other auxiliary device via the line-in panel on your Connector and stream signals from these devices (in a multiroom setup) to other rooms. For example, you can play a record in the living room and stream the sound via a Connector to a Raumfeld One in the kitchen.

iTunes
If your iTunes music is on your computer, Raumfeld can access the files via the network. Please note that the files are only available to the system if the computer is turned on.

Audio formats and gapless playback
Raumfeld plays all common music formats in standard and variable bit rates. According to your preferences and convenience, you can play MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, Vorbis, ASD, WMA and AAC.

If there isn’t meant to be a pause in the music, you won’t hear one – that’s gapless playback.

New features per update
