Cooking at home, he was captivated by the game-changing results promised by modern techniques, but soon found these weren’t accessible to the ordinary home cook. Jim Reich, a Sensor and Control Systems Engineer at Xerox PARC and Lockheed Martin, met Eric in the San Francisco hardware startup scene and knew he could apply his aerospace expertise to help people cook better. And so, they created the Cinder Sensing Cooker. Cinder is backed by the prestigious Silicon Valley accelerator Y Combinator and is a graduate of the hardware incubator Highway1.'
