H Hitachi παρουσίασε την 1η βιντεοκάμερα που γράφει σε μικρής διατομής blu-ray δισκάκι.

Γράφει 7GB σε MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 πάνω σε 8 εκατοστών δισκάκι BD-RE/R ή 5 φορές λιγότερο σε 8 εκατοστών δισκάκι DVD-RAM/RW/R.

Φορά σένσορα 5.3 megapixel για να γράφει σε 1920*1080.

Στις 30 Αυγούστου παρουσιάζονται στην Ιαπωνία, ενώ στον υπόλοιπο κόσμο τον Οκτώβρη.

Θα κυκλοφορήσουν δύο μοντέλα. Το DZ-BD7H που θα έχει bd αλλά κ σκληρό δίσκο 30gb και το DZ-BD70 το οποίο θα έχει μόνο bd. Στον δίσκο όμως θα γράφει σε ανάλυση 1440x1080. Τέλος, θα μπορούν να γράψουν σε δισκάκια dvd 8 εκατοστών αλλά σε ανάλυση 720x480...

Hitachi unveils two Blu-ray camcorders

Hitachi has become the first company to produce a Blu-ray format camcorder. Two models have been announced, both able to record in 1920×1080 resolution. The high-end DZ-BD7H (pictured) combines a BD drive with a 30 GB hard drive and can record four hours in Full HD or up to eight hours in 1440×1080 HD. It also allows users to copy the contents from the HDD to 8cm BD disc.
The BD7H will be joined by the DZ-BD70, a disc-only model which records approximately one hour of Full HD, or two hours of 1440×1080 video, onto an 8cm BD. Both feature Hitachi’s proprietary ‘Picture Master Full HD’ picture processor and a progressive CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor (2.07 mega pixels for video and 4.32 mega pixels for still photography).
The models will be available in Japan August 30 and globally from October. No UK price has been announced, although the models will sell for 1,500 and 1,300 dollars respectively in the US. Hitachi says it will be producing 20,000 BD cams a month.
“It was important for us to be the first to offer consumers the impressive benefits of Blu-ray disc technology. To be the first manufacturer to create two models of the world’s first Blu-ray disc camcorders that shoot, playback and store HD video is a huge milestone for us and something we are exceptionally proud of,” says Hitachi America product manager Jeff Fochtman.
“Hitachi is well known for having introduced the world’s first DVD camcorder in 2000, and last year we introduced the first Hybrid camcorder with a DVD drive and a hard disk drive. These products have been hugely popular and award winning. Blu-ray disc camcorders certainly demonstrate our ability to innovate and consumers have a new premium format choice on the market because of these efforts.”
