Find out what features are included in PS3 system software update 3.00.
An update to the PS3™ system software was released on September 1, 2009. If you update your PS3 system, the system software version will be 3.00 and the following features will be updated. In order to download PS3 system software version 3.00, you will need a minimum 160Mb of free space on either the PS3 Hard Disk Drive (System Update) or on removable storage media (PC Update).
Main features in system software update version 3.00

Other new or revised features in version 3.00
Overall

• You can now access the latest content available from PlayStation Store directly under Game and Video.
• When using storage media that contains folders, the number of folder levels that can be displayed under Photo, Music and Video has been increased.
• You can now copy text using the on-screen keyboard. You can use this feature to copy text on a screen from which the on-screen keyboard is displayed, such as the screen for creating a message under Friends.

Settings

• [Audio Multi-Output] has been added as an option under [Sound Settings].
• [HDD Content Audio Language] and [HDD Content Subtitle Language] have been added as options under [Video Settings].

Video

• You can now use the right stick of the wireless controller to perform fast forward or fast reverse operations during video content playback.

Network

• [Print This Screen] has been added as an option in the browse mode menu of the Internet browser.
• [Save Screenshot] has been added as an option in the browse mode menu of the Internet browser.

Friends

• A list of messages that you have exchanged with a Friend can be now accessed from the Friend’s profile screen.

Note:

• This system software update includes all features contained in previous versions.
• The new system software will preserve any settings previously made to the PlayStation 3.
• Depending on the software title, you may not be able to play without first updating the PS3 system software.
• Do not perform updates using any data other than the official update data provided by Sony Computer Entertainment over a network or on disc media, and do not perform updates by methods other than those described in the product documentation or in this site. If an update is performed using data from another source, by another method, or with a PS3 system that has been altered or modified in any way, the PS3 system may not operate properly and may not be able to install the official update data. Any of these actions may void the PS3 system warranty and affect your ability to obtain warranty services and repair services from Sony Computer Entertainment.

This is the operating system software for your PlayStation 3. It controls everything, including what types of content and which features you can access on your PS3.

As well as keeping your PS3 in top condition with the latest security updates, Parental Controls and display options, updates often increase what your PS3 is capable of. New settings, new features and new functionality can be included in an update; as the system software evolves, only a PS3 with the latest update installed will be able to make full use of these enhancements.

Each update is numbered so you can quickly see what the latest version is - the higher the number, the more recent the update. For example, 1.60 is more up to date than 1.50.

To find out which version of the system software you currently have installed on your PS3, navigate through the Home Menu of your PS3 to the Settings category. From here select [System Settings], followed by [System Information], and you'll see the PS3 system software version displayed here.

To find out what the latest available version is you can look for and download the software at eu.playstation.com from the PlayStation 3 Help & Support section of the site.

You can update the system software by any of the following methods:

System Update - If your PlayStation 3 is online, the most straightforward way to update the system software is using the PS3 system itself. Navigate to Settings on the PS3 Home Menu, select [System Update] and then [Update via Internet] and your PS3 will check if you have the latest version. If not, it will download and install it for you.

PC Update - Visit eu.playstation.com for the very latest version of the update data. Follow the on-screen instructions to download to your PC.

To transfer the update data to your PlayStation 3, save the file to a PS3 compatible storage device such as Memory Stick, Memory Stick Duo, USB drive or PSP.

Before starting, use your PC to create a folder named 'PS3' on the storage media or USB device. Within the folder, create a folder named 'UPDATE' (This folder name is case sensitive and must appear in all capital letters). Once the UPDATE folder has been created, download the PS3 system software update to this location.

Once the update data has been saved, disconnect the storage device and connect it to your PS3 via the slots under the slot cover or the USB connectors depending on the device you're using.

Once connected, navigate to Settings on the PS3 Home Menu, select [System Update] and then [Update via Storage Media]. Select the connected device and your PS3 will install the update data stored there.

Διαβάζει και ένα επιπλέον επίπεδο sub-folders από εξωτερικό σκληρό χωρίς να κάνεις display all :107:

.srt δε νομίζω ότι υποστηρίζει αλλά δεν το δοκίμασα. Αυτή η επιλογή για τη γλώσσα πρέπει να αφορά τους xsub που υποστηρίζει μέχρι σήμερα.

Με ενοχλεί που έβγαλαν το logo του Playstation στην αρχή κάθε παιχνιδιού. Μετά από τόσα χρόνια συνήθειας μου λείπει λίγο.

To εβαλα ελληνικα αλλα δεν εχω δοκιμασει αν παιζει.
Μου την σπαει αυτο το fade out που εχει στα folders και εφαγα τον κοσμο να δω πως μπορω να το βγαλω αλλα δεν.... Αν ξερει κανεις?

Αυτο που μου αρεσε ειναι η δυνατοτητα να κλεινει η κονσολα μετα απο οση ωρα θες και το ιδιο μπορεις και για τα χειριστηρια.
Πολυ βολικο.

Συμφωνώ. Θα κοιτάξω το βράδυ αν υπάρχει καμιά επιλογή να το αλλάξεις.

Εγώ είδα εχθές μια ταινία (BR: Lakeview Terrace )

και έβαλα το PS3 να κατεβάσει το update και να κλείσει αυτόματα.....Δεν έχω δει τις αλλαγές live.....

Natively όχι.

Αλλά αν δε χρειάζεσαι υπότιτλους το mkv2vob που προτείνει ο Γ.Δημητρόπουλος είναι μια πολύ γρήγορη και βολική λύση.

Tο mkv2vob δέχεται και τους υπότιτλους......
Τσεκάρεις στο κατάλληλο κουτί και κολλάει τα .srt

Το ξέρω αλλά για να τους βάλει κάνει transcoding οπότε παύει να είναι η εύκολη και γρήγορη λύση που έλεγα. Εκτός αν έχει αλλάξει κάτι τώρα πρόσφατα.

Γεια σας παιδιά. Θα ήθελα την βοήθεια σας...
Χθες βράδυ πήγα να περάσω το νέο update 3.0 και ενώ είχε αντιγράψει από το usb flash το αρχείο στο σκληρό δίσκο του Ps3, κατά την εγκατάσταση μου βγάζει σφάλμα στο 65% και κολλάει. Το κλείνω από τον διακόπτη, το ξανά ανοίγω και αρχίζει πάλι από την αρχή η εγκατάσταση. Μπορεί να κολλήσει και σε άλλο σημείο στο 35% π.χ.
Τώρα τι κάνουμε; Δεν προχωράει η εγκατάσταση πέρα του 65%. Δοκίμασα 5-6 φορές και κολλάει

Να πω ότι είχα αλλάξει το μάτι του drive και μου έχει ξαναχαλάσει πάλι (δεν το εχω ξαναφτιάξει αλλά κατά τα άλλα δουλεύει κανονικά). Προς το παρών δεν το χρησιμοποιώ μιας και δεν υπάρχει χρόνος αλλα είπα να περάσω το νέο update.

το σφάλμα που μου βγάζει είναι:
An error occurred during the update operation.
Contact technical support for assistance (8002F147)

Για πείτε μου ρε παιδιά τι να κάνω...

Προσπαθησε να κατεβασεις ξανα το update στο στικακι μηπως ειχε προβλημα ή να κανεις αναβαθμιση απο το internet.
