Ensemble Prisma was formed in 1996 from members of the Young German Philharmonic Orchestra. Only a year later, they reached the finales of the German Music Council Competition. In 2002 Ensemble Prisma debuted at the Wόrzburg Mozart Festival, the Rheingau Music Festival, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. Concerts at the Music Festival of Lower Saxony, in Koblenz and in Castle Elmau followed in 2003.
