Although it has been nearly 20 years since Bobby and Peter Farrelly's Dumb and Dumber, cameras are finally ready to roll on the much-anticipated sequel. Today, leading man Jim Carrey has posted his own social media teaser, which you can check out below. His dental chip the result of an accident years before the original film, Carrey had his front tooth's cap removed to play the part. As you can see in the just-posted WhoSay photo, Carrey is once again ready to become Lloyd Christmas.

Laurie Holden takes female lead in Dumb and Dumber To

Laurie Holden, best known for roles on both "The Walking Dead" and "The X-Files," has taken the female lead in Bobby and Peter Farrelly's upcoming comedy sequel, Dumb and Dumber To. Deadline reports that she'll join the previously-announced Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Kathleen Turner and Brady Bluhm.

Holden, who previous big screen work includes The Mist and (also with Jim Carrey) The Majestic, will play a villain by the name of Adele Pichlow, who seeks to use Harry and Lloyd as scapegoats for her evil scheme.

Jeff Daniels talks Dumb and Dumber To

Bobby and Peter Farrelly have started shooting Dumb and Dumber To and Jeff Daniels was asked by E! what we can expect from the sequel at the Emmys, where he won Best Actor in a Drama Series for "The Newsroom" on Sunday.

"The scariest thing?" he said. "There are some things [that] we're going to do in 'Dumb and Dumber To' that make the toilet scene [in the original] seem lame. Pales in comparison and I can't divulge what, but just that they've topped it. [The] best thing about it? I get to work with a comedic genius."

He is, of course, referring to Jim Carrey and Daniels is also starring alongside Rachel Melvin, Kathleen Turner, Brady Bluhm, Laurie Holden and Steve Tom.

Universal Pictures has not set a release date for the film yet.

This morning, we posted a quote from Jeff Daniels about Dumb and Dumber To and now Jim Carrey himself has tweeted the first photo of the actors on the set back in their Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne roles.

Carrey posted the pic to promote his new children's book, "How Roland Rolls," which hits stores today. "How Roland Rolls comes out TODAY but it may be a little too sophisticated for Lloyd and Harry! Yep... THEY'RE BAAAAA…" he said.
