Encryption chip will end piracy, open markets, says Bushnell

Speaking at yesterday's Wedbush Morgan Securities annual Management Access Conference, the Atari founder suggested that game piracy will soon be a thing of the past thanks to a new chip.
"There is a stealth encryption chip called a TPM that is going on the motherboards of most of the computers that are coming out now," he pointed out
"What that says is that in the games business we will be able to encrypt with an absolutely verifiable private key in the encryption world - which is uncrackable by people on the internet and by giving away passwords - which will allow for a huge market to develop in some of the areas where piracy has been a real problem."
Bushnell thinks that piracy of movies and music, however, is probably unstoppable because "if you can watch it and you can hear it, you can copy it."
"Games are a different thing, because games are so integrated with the code. The TPM will, in fact, absolutely stop piracy of gameplay.
"As soon as the installed base of the TPM hardware chip gets large enough, we will start to see revenues coming from Asia and India at a time when before it didn't make sense."

Oooh really? How about you actually read, what you copy-paste on this forum, and then write down something in greek first adding the "More Info" link?

I find it really boring reading something in english when we are on a greek forum.

That's just a personal opinion of course. It doesn't mean you have to do it as I say...

Γιατι μικρυνες τα γραμματα ? Επιτηδες τα μεγαλωσα για να μπορουν να διαβασουν.
Τωρα αν υπαρχει καποιος που δεν ξερει να μιλαει,διαβαζει αγγλικα τοτε δεν μπορω να κανω κατι για αυτο. Απο την αλλη ειδικα εδω μεσα δεν νομιζω πως υφισταται κατι τετοιο αλλα και να ισχυει τοτε δεν ειναι υποχρεωμενος να διαβασει τα θεματα που ανεβαζω.

Απλά μια συμβουλή ήταν. Ούτε σε υποχρέωσα για κάτι, ούτε είπα να κάνεις έτσι όπως το λέω. Είναι κάτι προσωπικό, για μένα. Απλά βαριέμαι να διαβάζω θέματα στα αγγλικά. Προτιμώ μια περίληψη στα ελληνικά με το Link.

Επιπλέον τα γράμματα δεν τα μίκρυνα εγώ. Αυτό είναι το Default μέγεθος του quote. Μπορώ αν θες, να το βγάλω από το quote και να έχουν το default μέγεθος που γράφουμε, όλοι, τα μηνύματά μας.

Εμενα δεν με νοιαζει, για τους αλλους τα εκανα μεγαλυτερα.
Οσο για τα Ελληνικα δεν μαρεσει να αλλαζω εστω και λιγο το νοημα αυτων που διαβαζω γιαυτο τα βαζω στα Αγγλικα.
