Garmin known for its feature-rich automobile navigators, has unveiled a the StreetPilot 2820 featuring Bluetooth connectivity, hands-free calling and map data by NAVTEQ. Using Bluetooth users can make handsfree calls with a full user interface as the StreetPilot 2820 retreives numbers from your phones's contact list and call log. A user can also make calls from the StreetPilot 2820’s huge points of interest database that includes hotels, restaurants, stores, and much more. Motorcyclists can receive navigation audio prompts directly to their Bluetooth enabled headsets and helmets.
It is waterproof and has a durable touch screen for optimized outdoor use. When you activate the optional Real-time traffic service it calculates routes that navigate around traffic. You can load the customized POIs (Point of interests) such as safety cameras and school zones coupled with proximity alert option to warn you of appropriate speed.
Apart from being a navigation device, it is also features MP3 player and Audiobook reader to redefine your driving experience. It is expected to be available in June for a price tag of $1,099.
