Εχθές παρέλαβα και εγώ το συγκεκριμένο player .Οι πρώτες εντυπώσεις με σύνδεση HDMI και COMPONENT στα 1080ρ με τον optoma 70 (που κλείδωσε σ ’αυτή την ανάλυση απροβλημάτιστα και με τις 2 συνδέσεις με την component να υπερτερεί ελαφρά ίσως λόγω καλωδίου αφού ήταν καλύτερο ποιοτικά) ήταν απλά καλές, αλλά όχι όπως το περίμενα. Εννοείται ότι δοκίμασα και στα 720p καθώς 1080i αλλά την καλύτερη εικόνα με τον optoma την έπαιρνα πάντα στα 1080p. Το πολύ θετικό στοιχείο είναι ότι εξαφανίστηκε ο θόρυβος και ο κόκκος στην εικόνα (που μου είχε σπάσει τα νεύρα) σε σχέση με το προηγούμενο player (sony –NS52p) στα 576p, με αποτέλεσμα η εικόνα του να γίνει πιο στιβαρή με περισσότερη ανάλυση στις μικρολεπτομέρειες. Εντάξει μην περιμένουμε θαύματα στα 165 ευρώ που στοίχησε το συγκεκριμένο player, αλλά για την τιμή του πιστεύω ότι είναι ένα τίμιο μηχάνημα και αξίζει το κάθε ευρώ με το παραπάνω αφού στα θετικά του είναι ότι παίζει τα πάντα σ’ αυτή την ανάλυση(1080ρ). Όταν όμως διαβάζεις στο internet σε διάφορα forums αυτά που λέγονται σίγουρα έχεις περισσότερες απαιτήσεις (μέχρι και καφέ περιμένεις να κάνει). Βασικά ο λόγος που το αγόρασα ήταν γιατί βαρέθηκα όποτε βλέπω ταινία το βράδυ να πηγαίνω-φέρνω το computer από το γραφείο στο σαλόνι και αντίστροφα. Το σίγουρο βέβαια είναι ότι μπορεί να μην γλυτώσω τα σούρτα-φέρτα αλλά τουλάχιστον θα τα μειώσω. Για να μιλήσουμε λίγο για το PC, η εικόνα που παίρνω από το TheaterTek είναι πολύ καλύτερη σε όλα με περισσότερη ανάλυση, βάθος, λεπτομέρεια, χρώματα και φυσικά πιο τρισδιάστατη (κάτι που λείπει από το HELIOS) όπως επίσης καλύτερη είναι και με το WinDvd 7 + purevideo μαζί για πανομοιότυπους λόγους.

Περί τηλεκοντρόλ... για όσους πίστεψαν προς στιγμήν ότι ίσως το χειριστούν με του A/V τους.

Unfortunately our remote control doesn't have a "code" for universal remote control at this moment.
You will need a remote control that has "learning and programming" feature. Then you can use this remote control to "learn" and "program" from our DVD player's code.

We will report your feedback to our product development department to
see if they can address firmware in the future to support the Greek
characters.

Tα σχόλια μου προς το support της Neodigits:

Dear all,
I own a Helios H4000 and I want to report some problems, if they can be fixed with a future firmware upgrade.
1) Lost synchronization video/audio after pause
2) Screensaver starts too fast when paused!
3) When turning the H4000 on from remote control, the display shows forever "load", it dowsn't finishing reading to show "no disk". When presing "eject", then it shows "no disk". And you have to press "eject" one more time to open tray.
4) "time remaining" function is a must have operation, that here is missing. If it can be programed with a firmware upgrade, it will be very nice.
5) There is no support for Greek subtitles! H4000 understands them, but it doesn't shows them correctly (as Greek characters). You have to fix that, becouse this is essential for a divx player to be bought from Greeks... Almost all of your competitors, sell their players with GR subtitle support, or they use chipsets that can be upgraded with pathed firmware (made from users) that understands GR subs.
6) Support for Greek filenames (Greek characters at their names) at video / subtitle files.

Sorry for the late response.

We have reported the problems you had with this player to our product development and most of them could be ressolved in future firmware.

1) Lost synchronization video/audio after pause
=> This bug would be fixed in next firmware.

2) Screensaver starts too fast when paused!
=> This bug would be fixed in next firmware.

=> We will look into this issue and try to fix this bug in next firmware.

=> It's not in the "To Do" list of next firmware, but we will review it in future firmware.

=> We have aware of this feature, and it will be reviewe in future firmware. And we have posted some Greek subtitle files to our product development, and they are investigate this issue at the moment.

Thanks for your support.

The new firmware for H4000 player is being developed at the moment, which would resolve the 1080p via HDMI issue and fix the screen saver bug. If you have any further suggestion and feedback, please let me know and we can check with engineer to see if it will be address in this firmware.

In addition, as we expected, it would be available to release by the end of this month, hope there's still time and you're comfortable with testing the new firmware.

Anyeay, we will let you know when we have any further information about the new firmware, as soon as it is ready, we will provide it on our web site to download.
