Fiberglass Fabricating









Since JL Audio produces products for home, mobile, and marine use -- sometimes needing extremely complex cabinet shapes -- fiberglass fabrication and finishing are key to their manufacturing capability. Fiberglass is also used for some of their top-of-the-line products. We were fortunate enough to see the fiberglass-based Gotham subwoofers in various states of manufacture. The Gotham g213, which retails for $12,000, is JL Audio's best and is considered to be among the state-of-the-art in the subwoofer marketplace.

What starts off in manufacturing as a rather ugly duckling winds up being a state-of-the-art-finished showpiece with impeccable fit 'n' finish. This finished Gotham has also been through a full battery of quality-control testing that includes rather loud acoustic measurements.

The TW5 thin woofer used for the IWS-SYS-1 and IWS-SYS-2 in-wall subwoofers requires high precision to manufacture . . .

JL's goal is that every product that leaves their facility looks and performs exactly as it should. As a result, every product completed in Home Products Assembly is tested electrically and acoustically, even though the individual components have already been measured during the various stages of manufacturing. JL insists that it's imperative to test the final product in this way to ensure that it meets spec.

Καλά, τώρα μιλάς για μία από τις 2 αγαπημένες μου εταιρίες ever. Έχω 4 T-shirts JL Audio και είχα φτιάξει και DIY sub με ένα 10" τους όταν ήμουνα φοιτητής.Απίστευτη πραγματικά εταιρία από απολύτως όλες τις απόψεις.Κρίμα που δεν αντιπροσωπεύεται σοβαρά στην χώρα μας (εάν αντιπροσωπεύεται) ..

Συμφωνώ ότι είναι από τα καλύτερα subwoofer, μαζί με κάποια άλλα.
Στη χώρα μας κάποιες εταιρίες έχουν καλύτερο μάρκετινγκ και προωθούνται περισσότερο, είτε αυτά είναι καλύτερα η χειρότερα!!
Αν και καλύτερα δεν υπάρχουν, γιατί θα τα είχαμε όλοι μας. Απλά ο κάθε κατασκευαστής έχει τη δική του φιλοσοφία που αν μας καλύπτει μαζί με το οικονομικό μέγεθος τότε είναι εύλογα αρεστό σε κάποιους.
