KEF has announced that its fivetwo speaker range, which provide five audio channels from just two speakers, are now available to buy.
The fivetwo models use vertical flat panels behind the main speaker drivers as rear effects speakers, while the main, front-facing drivers (which use KEF's Uni-Q technology) create the left, right and centre channels.
Two speaker options are available: a seven-driver stand/wall mount affair, the Model 7, or an 11-driver floor-stander, the Model 11. Each speaker is available in either matt silver or high gloss black finishes, and comes supplied with connection cables for any 5.1 home cinema receiver/amplifier. Suggested prices are around £600 for a pair of Model 7s, and around £1100 a pair for a pair of Model 11s.
