Abigail Breslin joins Arnold Schwarzenegger in Maggie

Abigail Breslin has landed the title role in the upcoming Maggie, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter. She joins Arnold Schwarzenegger in the zombie tale. Written by John Scott 3, Maggie has been given the following official logline:


As a “walking dead” virus spreads across the country, a farm family helps their eldest daughter come to terms with her infection as she slowly becomes a flesh-eating zombie.


Chloe Grace Moretz was up for the title role earlier this year, but departed the project due to scheduling conflicts. Breslin, who previously battled the undead in Zombieland, recently starred in The Call opposite Halle Berry and can be seen coming up in Ender's Game.

The first photos have been released from Maggie, the zombie film starring Abigail Breslin and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's making its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival next month.

Henry Hobson directs this story of a "walking dead" virus that spreads across the country. The story focuses on a farm where a family helps their eldest daughter come to terms with her infection as she slowly becomes a flesh-eating zombie.

Joely Richardson and Schwarzenegger will play the mother and father. Abigail Breslin is the young girl turning into one of the undead.
