The BD5004 is the extension of the Marantz Blu-ray player line up to a more affordable price category, without sacrifying Blu-ray or DVD quality. The BD5004 offers full Profile 2.0 / BD-Live specification, meaning that it has a network connection for downloading additional content on movies like extra scenes, alternative ends, interactive games, actors information or director comments from the internet. DVD?s can be upscaled, de-interlaced and outputted as 1080p via the HDMI1.3a port. To ensure high quality analogue video output on component level a 297MHz/12bit video DAC is implemented. The new design with the centered mechanism will perfectly fit to the Marantz receiver and amplifier line up. Supported media?s are DivX HD, JPEGs, WMA and MP3, and for the purist enjoying music from CD Marantz applied a Pure Direct / Audio Exclusive Mode.
