Πρόκειται για μια αστυνομική κωμωδία που βασίζεται στο τελευταίο βιβλίο του Kyril Bonfiglioli, «The Great Mortdecai Mustache Mystery» και αφορά την ιστορία του εμπόρου τέχνης (Johnny Depp), ο οποίος αρχίζει αγώνα δρόμου για να επανακτήσει έναν κλεμμένο πίνακα που φημίζεται πως περιέχει τον κωδικό για έναν χαμένο λογαριασμό τραπέζης γεμάτο με χρυσό των Ναζί. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ταινίας θα έρθει αντιμέτωπος με θυμωμένους Ρώσους, τη βρετανική MI5, τη γυναίκα του κι έναν διεθνή τρομοκράτη. Στην καρέκλα του σκηνοθέτη της ταινίας κάθεται ο David Koepp και εκτός από τον Johnny Depp εμφανίζονται και οι ηθοποιοί Ewan McGregor, Gwyneth Paltrow, Paul Bettany, Jeff Goldblum και πολλοί άλλοι.

Aubrey Plaza, Oliver Platt and Jeff Goldblum join Mortdecai

Lionsgate and OddLot Entertainment announced today that Aubrey Plaza, Oliver Platt and Jeff Goldblum have joined the cast of the action comedy Mortdecai. The film, based on the popular three-novel anthology by Kyril Bonfiglioli, wrapped production in London and is currently in production in Los Angeles.

Four new character posters for Johnny Depp's Mortdecai

From the trailer it was very apparent that acting chameleon Johnny Depp is channeling British thesp Terry Thomas for his new caper comedy Mortdecai, complete with gap tooth and that distinctive mustache. Apparently co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor and Olivia Munn want in on the act since they're all rocking the mustache on four new character posters courtesy of Lionsgate.
