H Cinemateq ανακοινωσε την νεα αναβαθμιση 3.30 για τους scaler Picture Optimizer plus II
Τα νεα στοιχεια ειναι:
Munich, October 25, 2004: As of today the latest firmware for the cinemateq picture optimizer plus (II SDI) models is officially available in version 3.30.
As usual the latest firmware can be downloaded from the internet and installed via the integrated serial interface (RS-232). Here are the new and revised functions in detail:
* New function: Video Norm
With the function "Video Norm" the video standard recognition on the input side can either be set to AUTO (used to be the standard setting in former versions) but also fixed to PAL and/or NTSC. By predefining the setting (e.g. PAL) there is no longer any picture interception when there is a short interruption of the video sources signal, as it may appear when switching channels on a VCR or similar.
* Revised: Brightness, contrast and color saturation
The brightness, contrast and color saturation adjustment was fundamentally revised. All three parameters act jointly now, i.e. if changing one of the values a readjustment of the other two values is no longer necessary. Besides that the control range of some picture parameters has been increased considerably in order to enable even better adjustment to any displaying device.
* Revised: Sharpness
The control range of horizontal sharpness has been considerably increased in order to be able to display the optimized video signal even sharper.
* Revised: Picture cut-off (pixel cropping)
The cut-off on the input signal side of the picture optimizer plus has been frankly speaking completely eliminated. It now processes PAL/NTSC input signals with a maximum of 720 x 575 (PAL) and/or 720 x 480 pixels (NTSC), provided that the video source (DVD player) delivers an "uncut" signal. Via the function "Input Alignment" this input signal can be optimally positioned within these values.
* Revised: Input Alignment (now with "blanking")
Using the "Input Alignment" function it is now also possible to create so called "blanking", i.e. to "hide" errors at picture edges by moving the outer edges of the visible picture. This enables an absolutely "clean" masking of picture edges without leaving the "perfect scaling" (as with the overscan function). The firmware V 3.30 is available for free download on the internet in the section Support-Center, Support for picture optimizer product family, under www.cinemateq.com
