Έχει άριστα reviews σε πληθώρα περιοδικών (Αγγλικών αλλά και Haute Fidelite και άλλα). Δεν έχει πάρει πουθενά κάτω από 5 αστέρια:

ΑVMENTOR “Αποδίδοντας ισχύ αρκετά κάτω από τα 100W, ο Nait XS ήταν μια μικρή έκπληξη για εμάς όσον αφορά τις δυνατότητες οδήγησης και τις στάθμες που μπόρεσε να δημιουργήσει. Εννοείται ότι δεν πρόκειται για έναν ενισχυτή κατάλληλο για κάθε χώρο και κάθε ηχείο, από την άλλη, φάνηκε ικανός να ελέγξει το ηχείο αναφοράς (σημ. ATC 50 με ευαισθησία 85db) και να μας καλύψει πλήρως δικαιώνοντας τους Βρετανούς για τις επιλογές τους.”

Λεπτομερείς μετρήσεις για τον ενισχυτή υπάρχουν στο HiFiCritic και το avmentor.
“The well sorted NAIT5 XS provided 2x 67W output for 8ohm loads and about 71W peak program. Into 4ohms it provided 110W/ch, while music pulsed drive reaching 172W into 2ohms, alongside a peak current of 13A. It will clearly cope with modern loudspeakers and rates as load tolerant.”
“Σε φορτίο των 8Ω και με όριο παραμόρφωσης 0.3%, ο Nait XS απέδωσε 60.2W, ενώ σε φορτίο των 4Ω με παραμόρφωση 0.3%,η μέγιστη ισχύς αυξήθηκε στα 81.5W.”

Αναβαθμίζεται σημαντικά με την προσθήκη τροφοδοτικού flatcap ή hicap (πωλούνται και τα δύο μ/χ αυτήν τη στιγμή) ή με πιο οικονομικά τροφοδοτικά όπως το TeddyCap. Από το review του Martin Colloms στο HiFi Critic: “The result was instant musical pleasure. While I really admired the standalone NAIT XS, finding its limitations minor, forgivable and relatively unimportant, this two-box variation kicked in with something special in its degree of intimacy. Its resolution, of image depth and focus, of bass detail and definition, and its upbeat ‘get up and go’ was way beyond its class. And it carried on getting better as it continued running in over another week. It simply sounded delightful: honest to the music, direct, uncomplicated, and just got on with the job to a point where you simply forgot it was in the chain. Within its power envelope, this is a genuine ‘high end’ sound.”

Είναι το μεσαίο μοντέλο από τους 3 ολοκληρωμένους της naim. Θεωρείται από reviewers και ιδιοκτήτες πολύ κοντά στο μεγάλο μοντέλο. Από το review του gramophone: “Having reviewed and enjoyed both the 5i and the SuperNAIT, I'd place the XS as sounding like a much more free-breathing version of the former — not exactly a dull listen in its own right — and really quite close to the latter in terms of control, power and composure.”...και από ιδιοκτήτη στο audiogon: “I have owned all three. Unless you need the DAC in the Supernait, I would not recommend it over the Nait XS. That is my favorite. It has almost as much power. Supernait is more than twice the price of Nait XS at retail. Having said that, The Nait 5i is pretty darn close at a much lower price. The Nait XS can take a power supply, Nait 5i cannot.”
