Panasonic BD30E Blu-ray Player Gets DivX Certified

DivX has revealed that the upcoming Panasonic DMP-BD30E is expected to be the first DivX certified Blu-ray player released for Europe and Russia. The player, which is expected to be a clone of current Panasonic DMP-BD30 with added DivX functionality, has not been priced, but is expected to be released this month in both Europe and Russia.

Yuki Kusumi, Group Manager of Product Technology, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. commented, "In order to give our users access to the extremely popular, high-quality DivX format, we have introduced the first DivX-Certified Blu-ray Disc Player for Europe and Russia.

The timely launch of this strategic product is a direct response to the strong demand for DivX playback among consumers. We are very confident this product will be very popular in the European and Russian markets."

Tελικά όλοι περίμεναν να πεθάνει το ένα εκ των δύο φορμά υψηλής ανάλυσης για να ξεκινήσουν την εμπορική κούρσα των νέων BD μοντέλων και να τα εξοπλίζουν σιγά-σιγά με νέα χαρακτηριστικά. Για να δούμε τι θα γίνει και με τις τιμές. Προβλέπω τα Χριστούγεννα φέτος να αγοράζουμε BD player με καμιά 200αριά ευρώ και τεχνολογικά να είναι ανώτερο από τα μοντέλα που κυκλοφόρησαν το 2007...
