News....

Flying Lab Software has a couple of updates regarding its MMORPG Pirates of the Burning Sea in relation to the Open Beta plan, European and Australian pre-orders, and its non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
For those who want to share their beta experiences with other people, take note that the NDA has finally been lifted. You can now create articles and forum posts about Pirates of the Burning Sea.
This game is expected to officially launch on January 22, 2008. Until then, we have to keep tabs on updates from Flying Lab Software for Pirates of the Burning Sea. In the meantime, just take a look at the following reminders:
PotBS Open Beta:
The first four days of the Pirates of the Burning Sea open beta will be reserved for our invited beta testers and members of the FilePlanet Founders Club.
Open Beta is scheduled to begin worldwide on Friday, December 7, 2007, at which point FilePlanet subscribers can get in.
After that it’ll be open for everyone within a week.
On December 7, North American players that aren’t currently beta testers will have a chance to give Pirates of the Burning Sea a spin.
Regarding Australian and European pre-orders:
We are still in negotiations with potential partners in Australia and can’t announce anything until a deal is done. This is a very high priority for us and we’ll share the news as soon as we get it. Rest assured that we haven’t forgotten about our Aussie friends
We will be sharing information specific to European pre-orders as soon as we receive the go-ahead from our partners in the UK. In addition, we are working with our friends at SOE to gather a list of retail locations and will publish that information just as soon as we receive it.

Αντε να σε φτιάξω τώρα :

I dont know why they even bother to have levels, getting 1 to 50 is like playing a single player game and takes minimum effort. The devs took WoW's easy mode design even one step further, if that's possible.
Basically there is absoutely no character development, everything that comes with a good mmorpg such as grouping, fighting in dungeons (or sea/ships in this case), while gaining exp and develop your characters/ships are not there.
You go from 1 to 50 solo, then just go around pvping almost like you do playing counterstrike...
This wouldnt be so bad if the ship to ship combat has good physics and design (as one would expect from those beautiful screenshots). But instead think of it as a fancy version of earth&beyond combat for those that still remember - aka the same wack a mole, but using ships.
Anyway to summarize, get 1 to 50 in no time, then play the game like a pvp map, just kill each other, flipping port.. or do mind numbing farms to get better ships.
The current streak of mmorpg lemon continues. I actually find myself going back to playing FFXI, just to be challenged and remember some of the glorious days where there is no freaking easy mode or spoonfeeding.
Yes i am playing a 4 year old game, that's how sad the current state of mmorpgs are...
