It seems that HD-DVD is not dead for Plextor since late this week they released two new high-end disc drives feautiring support for both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, the B300SA and B920SA.
Both drives can read HD-DVDs at 3x speeds and Blu-ray at 6x speed. The B920SA can also write Blu-Ray discs with 4x Speeds.
Both drives use SATA connectors and are compatible with BD-R, BD-RE, BD-ROM and BDMV Blu-ray formats and can also burn DVD-R / DVD+R discs at 16x , 4x for dual layer DVDs, 5x for DVD-RAM and 40x and 24x for CD-R and CD-RW
The proposed price for the B300SA is $450 and for the B920SA $600.
