Rotel has established an enviable reputation for the audiophile performance of its award winning 02-Series products. The RDV-03 DVD player is set to add to it. With its precision transport, comprehensive digital processing, and Rotel's Balanced Design Concept, when used in a high-quality A/V or audio system the RDV-03 will provide the highest level of video and audio performance. The RDV-03 is a multipurpose player equipped to handle video and audio discs in a wide range of formats including DVD-Video, Audio CD, Video CD, SVCD, MP3, WMA, and JPEG.

Video Features
• The RDV-03 supports both PAL and NTSC discs, converting the signal to a PAL output
• Progressive scan for both PAL and NTSC systems, optimized for both video and film sources
• Special playback functions such as frame-by-frame, zoom, variable slow-motion and high-speed play
• DVD-Video features include Multi-angle, Multi-language subtitles, and Multi-language audio.

Audio Features
• Supported audio formats include sampling frequencies up to 96 kHz, linear PCM en­coding, up to 24-bit resolution.
• DVD-Video supports 2 channels at sample rates of 48 and 96 kHz at 16, 20, or 24-bit resolu­`tion.
• Audio CD/Video CD is limited to 2 channels, 44.1 kHz at 16 bits.

Other Features

Video Fine Picture adjustment (VFP) allows selection of one of four picture modes, Normal, Cinema, User 1, and User 2. Each mode stores the following user adjustable picture settings:

• DNR: Dynamic Noise Reduction reduces noise along sharp edges in digitally com­pressed video.
• DIGIPURE: Enhances the vividness or clarity of digital images.
• GAMMA: Adjusts the brightness of mid-tone colors without changing bright or dark colors. BRIGHTNESS: Adjusts the black level, the darkness of blacks.
• CONTRAST: Adjusts the white level, the brightness of white and near white colors.
• SATURATION: Adjusts the amount color saturation.
• TINT: Adjusts the color balance.
• SHARPNESS: Increases the sharpness of the picture at the expense of making noise in the picture more apparent.
