Sharp’s latest AQUOS technology is mind blowing. The company has showcased the SECOND-GENERATION BD-HP50U Blu-ray Disc player offering Full HD 1080p digital output. The Blu-Ray Player lets the consumers enjoy latest Blu-ray Disc titles, along with standard-definition DVDs at highest resolution.
“The interactive features of the Blu-ray Disc format bring a new level of enjoyment to the high-definition movie experience,” said Bob Scaglione, senior vice president and group manager, Product and Marketing Group, Sharp Electronics Corporation. “With the new BD-HP50U, consumers can tap into supplemental information without leaving the movie.”

* Support for Dolby® TrueHD and DTS HD via 7.1 channel HDMI digital output

Sharp BD-HP50U supports latest version of the Blu-ray format BD-ROM Profile 1.1, or BD Live that endows the secondary audio and video decoders the capability for Picture in Picture (PIP) along with allowing them for an external storage. The BD-HP50U is scheduled to reach the stores in May at an MSRP of $699.99.
