Sony Ericsson M608c slim and stylish smartphone

Sony Ericsson has announced the triband GSM (900/1800/1900) smartphone specially for the Chinese market and features Chinese character recognition. At just 15mm thick, it is one of the slimmest devices of its kind available. Reading emails and viewing high quality video and graphics content is made easy with the 3-way Jog Dial and a 2.6” QVGA screen, capable of handling 262K colours. Running on Symbian OS 9.1 and UIQ 3.1 the M608c has 80MB onboard memory and comes with 64MB Memory Stick Micro M2. The ergonomic design of the M608c makes it easy to operate with one hand. Specs include E-mail client, USB, Bluetooth, Flight mode, Infrared, Speakerphone, Opera 8 browser and support for RSS feeds. The onboard media player has support for MP3, AAC, ACC+, E-AAC+ and m4a formats. The M608c is a 2.5G version of Sony Ericsson’s recently announced global products, the M600 UMTS handset.

The M608C is available in Granite Black and Crystal White and starts shipping during Q3 2006.
