Toshiba: Οι πρώτες OLED το 2009

Toshiba says that it will launch its first OLED consumer TV screens in 2009. The announcement by Toshiba president Atsutoshi Nishida follows news that Sony will introduce its OLED displays into the Japanese market at the end of this year. Toshiba says that it will look to produce both 21- and 30-inch screens, using organic EL polymer materials. The Corporation says it will not pitch OLED into an early price war with LCD but it remains confident the benefits of the format (low power consumption and super-slim form factor) will help the technology command a price premium.
