The Yamaha RX-V640 RDS delivers an impressive array of advanced options - especially considering this receiver's low price. A beefy 6 x 85 watt amplifier is coupled to an advanced decoder which delivers the latest digital home cinema formats, all sourced from a plentiful array of connections including component, S and composite video. Additionally, all composite video signals are upsampled to S-Video for easy screen connectivity and switching whilst the amp also offers an additional video and audio input (including optical digital) at the front.
