Για οσους δεν μπορουν να περιμενουν υπαρχει και ιαπωνικη εκδοση σε HDDVD την οποια μπορειτε να την βρειτε και σε χαμηλη τιμη.

καλές οι παλιές κυκλοφορίες αλλά - τώρα που τελείωσε και ο πόλεμος των format - έχει κανείς καμια ιδέα για το πότε θα αρχίσουν να διαθέτουν οι εταιρίες προς ενοικίαση τις νέες κυκλοφορίες σε blue-ray?

Οπως λες και εσυ, ο πολεμος τελειωσε
Συνεπως δεν υπαρχει βια.

Ανεξάρτητα παντως απο αυτο οι ελληνικές εταιρίες διανομείς δεν φημίζονται για την σπιρτάδα τους.
Ηρθε λοιπον η ωρα να αρχίσουμε να πετάμε φελλούς στο βαρέλι.

είχα την ελπίδα ότι λόγω Πρωταπριλιάς κάποιος θα μου έλεγε ψέματα αλλά...
ας ελπίσουμε να μη χρειαστεί μεγάλο βαρέλι.
--καλά, βγάζουν που βγάζουν, δε τους συμφέρει να βγάζουν τις καλές καινούργιες παρά τις παλιές...--

Warner Home Video has revealed the specs and special features for the upcoming Blu-ray release of 'Batman Begins', which is scheduled to be released on July 8th. The release will come in two flavors: either as a standard Blu-ray or a limited edition Blu-ray gift set. Video will be presented as 1080p VC-1, and audio will come via a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD track.

Extras include 12 featurettes (including: "Genesis of the Bat", "Batman: The Journey Begins", "Path to Discovery", "Saving Gotham City", "Shaping Mind and Body", "Gotham City Rises", "Cape and Cowl", "Batman: The Tumbler"), the "Tankman Begins" MTV spoof, "Confidential Files" (text and images), and theatrical trailers.

10,000 B.C. Coming to Blu-ray in June

Warner Home Video has announced that they will release the action blockbuster '10,000 B.C.' for Blu-ray on June 24th, day-and-date with the DVD release. Video will be presented in 1080p VC-1 accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. Extras include an alternative ending and additional scenes not seen in theaters.

Exclusive to the Blu-ray release will be two features: "A Wild and Wooly Ride" and "Inspiring an Epic".

In a remote mountain tribe, the young hunter D'Leh (Steven Strait) has found his heart's passion -- the beautiful Evolet (Camilla Belle). But when a band of mysterious warlords raid his village and kidnap Evolet, D'Leh leads a small group of hunters to pursue the warlords to the end of the world to save her.

Earth: The Biography (2008)

BBC Video has announced a July next-gen arrival for the five-part series 'Earth: The Biography,' which will hit Blu-ray as a two-disc set.

Following the success of the BBC's best-selling 'Planet Earth,' the company will release 'Earth: The Biography' on Blu-ray July 22, day-and-date with a DVD version.
Including five episodes from the series ("Volcano," "Atmosphere," "Ice," "Oceans," and "Rare Earth"), the 230-minute runtime is spread across two BD-25 single-layer discs, presented in 1080 video and Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo audio.

There are no announced supplemental features.

BBC Video has set a suggested list price of $39.98 for the Blu-ray.

How the West Was Won Blu-ray.

The 2-disc Blu-ray edition (BD-50s - SRP $34.99) comes 26/8/2008 packed in a 32-page "digi-book" and includes all the same disc-based extras as the DVD editions.

All versions feature the original 165-minute film, mastered from the original 3-strip Cinerama elements, presented in the original 2.89:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio.

The Blu-ray Disc will also feature the original SmileBox version "which presents the image with a unique curvature that virtually recreates the true Cinerama® experience in a home theater.

Restored NASA Footage Coming to Blu-ray

Blu-ray Movies In honor of the 50th Anniversary of NASA, the Discovery Channel is restoring video footage of NASA missions to high definition for the first time for their special, 'When We Left Earth: The NASA Missions'.

This special will include never before seen footage direct from NASA's video vaults. The Blu-ray release is currently scheduled to be released on July 24th, two weeks after the DVD release.

No technical specs have been announced at this time, but we do know that this multi-disc set will include all six episodes from the special, along with five hours of recently restored bonus material.
