Κι άλλοι οικονομικοί Tripath στο παιχνίδι, με πιο λογικά νούμερα ισχύος αυτή τη φορά.. O One είναι το βασικό κομμάτι, υπάρχει και o ακριβότερος Two ενώ ετοιμάζεται και ο ακόμη δυνατότερος και πιο προσεγμένος Sensation.
Υπάρχει επίσης η δυνατότητα αναβάθμισης της τροφοδοσίας, κατά τα πρότυπα των KingRex..

Starting in late October, we're going to be selling the Audiophile One, our most important product, for $269, both direct and through distribution, The unit will do more than 80wpc RMS cleanly on the bench @ 30v, although we're shipping with a 65watt/24v supply standard that gets you out of the gates at around 30wpc into 4ohms. We'll sell the 30v supply @ 90w for around $50 extra and you can use them as monoblocks if you like, capturing full power in one channel. We are also going to sell a hopped-up version with Auricaps and all copper hardware, the Audiophile Two.

Δύο reviews (οι κριτικές είναι θετικότατες, όπως αναμενόταν):

• Audiophile One @ TNT-Audio

It would be totally misleading to describe the Virtue.ONE as another class-T amp with more power. I won't name names, but listening to one of the better lower powered class-T amps against the Virtue.ONE clearly reveals the superiority of the Virtue amplifier. In comparison the smaller class-T sounded a bit soft, a bit less focussed, less punchy. It sounded 'nice' to listen to but not as good. And turn up the power, even on my more efficient speakers, and the bass really starts to be a problem. The Virtue.ONE has no such problem. Despite it's diminutive size, it can rock with the best of them, and coupled with a good speaker will provide true Virtue quality rather than being confined to duties on a computer desk.

Το δεύτερο είναι πιο αναλυτικό και με αρκετά τεχνικά στοιχεία αλλά βρίσκεται ακόμα σε εξέλιξη.
Πάντως μου έκανε εντύπωση το παρακάτω:

The output stage Tripath used on their TK2050 kit was OEM from Apogee. Apogee was ahead of their time... they sold that division to ST Microelectronics. The Apogee technology Tripath OEM'd was the DDX line. ST calls the next generation FFX technology. It has efficiency advantages over traditional designs but it's the sound we really like. That's what's driving the output on our amps. Hence, TP2050/1 = DDX2100 = ST505. (DDX2400 is a better version of DDX2100.) Ironically, Tripath said that the TP2050/1 (the power stage) was one of their 'best parts'.... and the TC2000/1 is basically an AD converter for noise shaping... it's called the controller chip and that's the toe-tapping part of the amp

Τι γίνεται με το intellectual property της Tripath εννοώ..
Εντάξει, την πήρε η Cyrus, αλλά εδώ διαβάζω ότι έχουν βάλει χέρι και oι της ST..

δε ξέρω λεπτομέρεις, αλλά ξέρω πως τα τσιπάκια της tripath με το λογότυπο "tripath" συνεχίζουν να παράγονται κανονικότατα...

Τα εργοστάσια στα οποία έκανε outsource την παραγωγή η Tripath ξεφουρνίζουν ακόμα...

Φίλε Κώστα στο μυαλό μου είσαι:102: Μόλις προχθές ψάχνοντας πληροφορίες για Tripath μηχανήματα έπεσα επάνω και στη συγκεκριμένη εταιρεία. Δυστυχώς από ότι λένε και οι ίδιοι δεν υπάρχει συγκεκριμένη ημερομηνία για την κυκλοφορία του SENSATION.
