One questions the sense of ‘landed-ness’ in a typically maxed-out envelope of a semi-detached typology. What is usually left over after the building footprint is no more than a slender planting strip on the ground. Hence, one of the prime motivations of this house was to seek out more garden spaces/surfaces in an attempt to redress this imbalance while we fulfill the client’s brief.

Θυμάμαι ότι ο Λε Κομπρυζιέ δεν πληρώθηκε ποτέ για ένα από τα πρωτοποριακά σπίτια που έφτιαξε γιατί δεν έλυσε το πρόβλημα με τις υγρασίες... Και παιρνω θάρρος, γιατί σε εμένα πήρε τρία χρόνια να το λύσω, ή πιο σωστά να βρω κάποιον που να το λύσει.

Οπότε καταλαβαίνουμε ότι ο σχεδιαστής έχει τραυματική εμπειρία από το γνωστό πρωινό πριονοκορδελα (τυρόπιτα και μιλκο)..... όπου ακόμα και μια απλή πόρτα μπορεί να σταθεί εμπόδιο
