Aυτοι οι στιχοι εγιναν η αιτια στα τελη της δεκαετιας του 70 ,1978-1979, να δημιουργηθουν αρκετες πολιτικες συζητησεις,διαφιλονικησεις.
Χαρακτηριστηκαν προκλητικοι και καποιο διαστημα μετα τη δημοσιευση του τραγουδιου,απαγορευτηκε προσωρινα η μεταδοση του απο το ραδιοφωνο.

Το τραγουδι ειναι βασισμενο σε μια σκηνη του μυθιστορηματος του Albert Camu "The stranger","der Fremde","L’Etranger" 1942.Ειναι ενα σημαντικο εργο του υπαρξισμου,για καποιους ειναι ενα αριστουργημα που δινει τροφη για σκεψη πανω σε κοινωνικα κρισιμες αποψεις,θετει ερωτηματα,σπανια δινει απαντησεις...Ο "ξενος", δεν ειναι μονο ο Αραβας,ειναι και πρωταγωνιστης Meursault - o δολοφονος -,οπως και ο αναγνωστης......
