In the upcoming CES 2008, Bryston will be boasting about its 2 new 8-channel Hybrid Zone Amplifiers. Intended for whole-house audio distribution applications, both models D-Series D-130Z Hybrid and the D-250Z Hybrid are lightweight, stylish, smooth, high-powered and very efficient amplifiers.

The “Hybrid” moniker refers to its combination of class D amplifier technology along with linear power supply. Below are the key features for each model:

D-130Z Hybrid

1. Bryston engineered dual 650 watt linear power supplies
2. 8 independent Channels at 130 watts each into 4 ohms
3. 4 stereo Zones at 130 Watts per channel into 4 ohms.
4. All channels driven 130 watts per channel at 4 ohms.
5. Each individual zone bridgeable to 400 watts into 8 ohms
6. Level control on each channel
7. Each channel can select the direct input (RCA), left bus only, right bus only or L+R (mono)
8. Stereo bus can be linked to other amplifiers
9. Each zone can be muted independently with 12-volt trigger
10. 12 Volt trigger for amplifier on/off
11. Soft-Start circuit to prevent high power inrush current
12. Gold plated 5-way speaker binding posts
D-250Z Hybrid

1. Bryston engineered dual 850 watt linear power supplies
2. 8 independent Channels at 250 watts each into 4 ohms
3. 4 stereo Zones at 250 Watts per channel into 4 ohms.
4. All channels driven 200 watts per channel at 4 ohms.
5. Each individual zone bridgeable to 800 watts into 8 ohms
6. Additional specs similar with D-130z Hybrid
