Την Cambridge Audio την γνωρίζουμε οι περισσότεροι ως μια εταιρία που δραστηριοποιείται στις χαμηλές κατηγορίες τιμών και βγάζει προϊόντα με υψηλό λόγο τιμής προς απόδοση. Εδώ και λίγο καιρό όμως η Cambridge Audio αποφάσισε να "παίξει" και σε μεγαλύτερες κατηγορίες τιμών. Ένα απο τα πρώτα προϊόντα της "ακριβής" είναι και ο εν λόγω ολοκληρωμένος ενισχυτής (τα εισαγωγικά μπαίνουν γιατί στην ουσία καθόλου ακριβή δεν είναι π.χ ο εν λόγω ενισχυτής κοστίζει £750 ή αλλιώς 1150€).

Και τι είναι όλο αυτό το βαρύγδουπο "Class XD" . Δεν είναι τάξη Δ (αν και εκεί παραπέμπει). Είναι μια παραλλαγή του ενισχυτή τάξης ΑΒ με σκοπό την μείωση της παραμόρφωσης crossover, που ταλανίζει τους ενισχυτές αυτής της τάξης.

• We continue to find the rattling of relays in the volume control annoying, but apart from that, there's nothing to complain about at this price.

Verdict
Honestly, the biggest difference between this and most amps costing twice as much is in the looks/show-off factor. It's more than competent sonically, and comes attractively specified too - we love it
