The XV2
Chris Sommovigo is widely known as the creator of some of the first true 75 ohm S/PDIF cables addressing the problem of reflections due to mismatched impedences. When he was working with Illuminati he created the Orchid, one of the first really killer digital cables. He now is running Stereovox and is at it again with his XV2 cable. The XV2 replaces the HDXV, and among other things, adds an additional foil shield to help stabilize impedence and decrease leakage.
The new XV2 is a flexible, small diameter cable of unusual precision, constructed from pure tape-wrapped Full Density PTFE Teflon, a silver-plated copper woven shield, an FEP jacket and a single high-purity silver plated copper conductor.
"Still a stone-cold bargain," quips designer and Signals-SuperFi CEO Chris Sommovigo. "If you thought HDXV was a giant-killer, XV2 will shock and amaze." Like its predecessor, XV2 will be terminated with 4GHz rated 75 Ohm BNCs and come supplied with a pair of Stereovox's special BNC to RCA adapters
