KingRex bows the first entry in its new Quintessence line, the QS-01 50wpc stereo Triapth amp [$799]..

This amp is based on the Tripath TA-2022 DPP chip and capable of 2 x 80 watts into 4 Ω at 80% energy efficiency. The black-anodized aluminum chassis is polished to a mirror finish and augmented by a transparent acrylic front panel. Internal parts include hifi-grade Wima capacitors, Nichicon Gold Tune capacitors as main filter devices, a high-current toroidal transformer for max current of 7.5A and Furukawa hookup wiring.
