Παρουσιάστηκαν χθες στη WWDC 2012, όλα τα νέα χαρακτηριστικά του iOS 6 που θα κυκλοφορήσει το Φθινόπωρο.
Αναβάθμιση της Siri, ενσωμάτωση του Facebook αλά Twitter, νέος Safari, βελτιωμένο mail, νέοι χάρτες, είναι μερικές από τις αλλαγές που φέρνει το iOS 6.

Συγνώμη δεν κατάλαβα, τι σχέση έχει η ασφάλεια; Απο ότι κατάλαβα έχει να κάνει σχέση με το γεγονός ότι ορισμένοι developers δεν ζητούσαν certificate για τα in app purchases των εφαρμογών τους. Και στις σοβαρές εφαρμογές δεν δούλευε το κόλπο

νέο bug στο mail του iOS 6.1 προκαλεί σοβαρά προβλήματα στη συνεργασία με Exchange servers μέσω ActiveSync

• Reports indicate that upgrading devices to iOS 6.1 can result in excessive transaction log growth for Exchange servers
• It could be that Apple has created yet another bug in how their mail app communicates with Exchange via ActiveSync
• For now, the best idea is to hold off any upgrades - or implement an ActiveSync device access rule to block iOS 6.1 devices

το iOS 6.1 δεν φτάνει που έχει δημιουργήσει έναν παγκόσμιο χαμό στους Exchange servers μας δείχνει παράλληλα ότι δεν έχει και μεγάλη σχέση με την ασφάλεια.
Για ακόμη μια φορά το iOS είναι ευάλωτο στο lock screen, συνδυασμός κουμπιών και κινήσεων δίνει πρόσβαση χωρίς τον κωδικό....

Symptoms
When you respond to an exception to a recurring calendar event with a Microsoft Exchange account on a device running iOS 6.1, the device may begin to generate excessive communication with Microsoft Exchange Server. You may notice increased network activity or reduced battery life on the iOS device. This extra network activity will be shown in the logs on Exchange Server and it may lead to the server blocking the iOS device. This can occur with iOS 6.1 and Microsoft Exchange 2010 SP1 or later, or Microsoft Exchange Online (Office365).

* An exception is a change to a single instance of a repeating calendar event.

Resolution
Apple has identified a fix and will make it available in an upcoming software update. In the meantime, you can avoid this bug by not responding to an exception to a recurring event on your iOS device. If you do experience the symptoms described above, disable then reenable the Exchange calendar on your iOS device using the steps below.

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Select the Exchange account from your Accounts list.
Turn the switch for Calendars to OFF.
Wait ten seconds.
Turn the switch for Calendars back to ON.

Η λύση που προτείνει η Apple δεν διορθώνει σίγουρα το πρόβλημα.....
