Le Peuple de l'Herbe - Cube

The band was founded by DJ’s Pee and Stani who are joined by drummer Psychostick and Trumpeter (and scratch DJ) N’Zeng. Rapper JC001 who has recorded with l’Herbe in the past features on tracks such as Mission, Boxin’ The Beat and Honesty, a track that shows JC001’s talent to cross over between rapping and singing and when backed with a cool drum and a sampled ‘loping’ guitar it makes for a brilliant lesson in cool. Mission is a track with a bridled energy. With a horn section bringing in a sense of apprehension along with the tight beats and overlayed with well matched quick-speed rapping you can imagine hearing this one out the windows of a car full of young men rocking their heads and holding cigarettes out the window.
