The Lipsinki L-302 is the company’s attempt to create a new digital amplification technology that’s similar to Sony’s Direct Stream Digital (DSD) platform. Sony’s DSD technology, used in SACD's, utilizes pulse-density modulation encoding; which samples a signal at 2.8Mhz, but at only 1-bit. Meaning the signal is converted into a sequence of 1-bit values, but at a sampling rate 64x that of a normal CD.

The L-302 uses a high power pulse driver to convert an analog signal to digital, which is then easily amplified. After amplification, the signal is passed through a low pass filter to convert the signal back to analog. Lipsinki claims their technology can achieve "the same quality as described by Sony and its DSD approach." The amplifier can be used in stereo with 300 watts per channel, or bridged for 600 watts of output on a single channel. The L-302 Stereo Power Amplifier is currently available for $3,995.00.

Main Speaker Amplifier L-301 "Three-In-One"

Our state-of-the-art power amplification uses dual topology: we employed dual mono design not only for the stereo amp, but also for our monoblocks. This is to control one parameter which has substantial influance on the perception of quality: the damping factor. This one controls the speed and accuracy of lowest frequencies, resulting in very tight and controlled bass. This configuration also significantly lowers distortion.

Έχουμε και review από το ProAudioReview... Θα σας βάλω απλά το συμπέρασμα:

Summary

These are the best amplifiers I have heard in this room, beating (by far) the Bryston, Lexicon and Hafler, and now proving even marginally better than the physically more imposing Pass X250 (original model). Five of these will make an excellent set of uncompromised surround amps; unlike the Pass they’d probably perform from one 20-amp wall outlet, though I recommend two dedicated circuits when separate powered subwoofers are considered.

This amp uses a Second Generation Digital module, which Lipinski has integrated to get the best sonic performance. Andrew says he is not interested in building gear unless he can make it sound better than anyone else’s: a bit of an ego statement, but I think the amp results speak for themselves. If this had been available two years ago, I would not have bought the Pass, regardless of impressive appearance. Luckily, they are now obtainable for my Studio B. These Lipinski PowerStands are definitely worthy of integration into the most exacting of studios.
