Έκανα μία επίσκεψη στο επίσημο (και ανανεωμένο) website της ICEpower και με μεγάλη μου έκπληξη είδα πως πλέον διαθέτουν μία μεγάλη γκάμα απο modules.
Πέρα απο τη γνωστή σε όλους μας σειρά ASP (βλ. ενισχυτές της BelCanto, Jeff Rowland κ.α.), υπάρχουν:
Η Α Series (με τα 250Α, 500Α, 1000Α).
"The ICEpower A Series consists of three high-performance general-purpose amplifiers with power output of 250W, 500W and 1000W. They deliver excellent audio performance, whether used in consumer, professional, automotive or marine audio applications."
Η ASC Series (με το 200ASC και το 200AC).
The ASC Series is designed for consumer applications and less demanding professional use, particularly in active speakers and subwoofers.
Περισσότερο ενδιαφέρον όμως έχουν οι αναφορές σε δύο νέες σειρές που χρησιμοποιούν 3ης γενιάς modules που θα παρουσιαστούν στη φετινή Cedia Export.
Αυτές είναι οι:
ASX2 Series
Η σειρά περιλαμβάνει τα 50ASX2, 125ASX2, 250ASX2 τα οποία βγάζουν 2x50, 2x125 και 2x250 watt αντίστοιχα στα 4Ω. Επίσης υπάρχει η δυνατότητα γεφύρωσης.
The ASX2 solutions are complete AC plug-to-speaker amplification engines offering two-channel, bridgeable speaker drive.
The ASX2 Series is based on the 3rd generation of ICEpower technologies, which take the audio performance to the next level. The advancements include extended bandwidth, improved dynamic range and an exceptionally low distortion.
The speaker is tightly controlled. Load invariance has been improved by high current output stages with exceptionally low output impedance, which enhances the overall frequency response in all load situations.
ASH7 Series
Σειρά με πολύκαναλα modules η οποία περιλαμβάνει τα 100ASH7, 150ASH7, 200ASH7 που αποδίδουν 7x100W, 7x150W και 7x200W αντίστοιχα στα 8Ω.

AC-plug-to-7-channel amplification module. The ASH7 Series offers power levels from 7x100W up to 7x200W into 8Ω, thus covering all standard consumer and professional applications.

True to the ICEpower traditions, there are no compromises in the audio performance of the ASH7 solutions. The performance fully matches and even tops the best Class AB amplifier solutions and meets the most demanding home theater standards. As a proof, the 200ASH7 meets the requirements for THX Ultra2 certification, and the 150ASH7 complies with the THX Select2 certification for A/V receivers.
Through the 3rd generation of ICEpower technologies, we have secured key performance advancements including an extended bandwidth of 120kHz and a full 20kHz power bandwidth, which is unique to switching amplification. Typically, the power bandwidth is limited to 5-7 kHz due to the required passive damping of the resonant output filter.
Through the use of ICEpower's HCOM modulator topology, the ASH7 offers excellent dynamic range and a distortion of only 0.003% THD+N at 5W, 1kHz. The ultra low output impedance architecture secures an extremely flat frequency response, which is independent from load impedance. Any speaker load is tightly controlled and the ASH7 solutions are essentially unaffected by load phase shifts and impedance shifts.
The efficiency of the ASH7 solutions exceeds 90 percent in both amplifier and power supply sections. This eliminates the notorious heat problems in traditional A/V receiver and A/V amplifier designs and ensures continuously cool and reliable performance.
