Nokia E50 announced

Nokia has made an addition to it's E series of business phone with the E50. The quad band GSM candybar phone comes with a MP3 player and an optional 1.3 Megapixel camera all packaged discreet glossy metallic case with a touch of color. The E50 comes equipped with pre-installed business applications, exceptional voice and calling functionality, and the ability to have two phone numbers in one phone. It runs on Series 60 3rd edition with support for popular corporate mobile email solutions, including BlackBerry Connect, Visto Mobile, Altexia, Microsoft ActiveSync etc, attachments can be downloaded in an instant with EDGE connectivity. The E50 comes with a search function which saves time by enabling fast queries into critical data such as, contacts, emails and messages. It has 70 MB of onboard memory which can be further expanded via SD card slot.

With the Quickoffice viewer presentations, spreadsheets and documents can be easily accessed on the 262k color (240 x 320) screen. It has a host of connectivity options which include Bluetooth v2.0, Infrared and USB via Pop-Port. Unlike the Nokia E61 it lacks Wi-Fi connectivity. The Nokia E50 battery provides 6 hours of talk time. The phone measures 113 x 43.5 x 15.5 and weighs 104 grams.
