Οι αλλαγές που επέφερε η νέα σειρά των επεξεργαστών Atom της Intel αναγκάζει την nVidia να αλλάξει τον σχεδιασμό της πλατφόρμας ION.
Ουσιαστικά η νέα πλατφόρμα ION2 θα αποτελείται μόνο από την κάρτα γραφικών που θα κάνει χρήση της τεχνολογίας Optimus.

Η Shuttle θα παρουσιάσει στην CEBIT το νέο barebone XS35.

With option of installation behind flat panel displays
Elmshorn, Germany, February 26th 2010. Shuttle Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of multi-form-factor solutions such as the world-famous XPC Mini-PC-Barebones, will be unveiling at this year's CeBIT in Hanover a new, ultra-compact PC platform which, at just 3.3 cm wide, is already HD-compatible.

The Shuttle Barebone XS35 is a Mini-PC in the 1-litre class which, thanks to its shape and the standardised VESA mounting interface, can be easily fitted behind flat panel displays and therefore does not take up any space. Intel's Atom D510 Dual Core Processor (2x 1.66 GHz) and the NM10 Express Chipset serve as the energy-saving hardware platform. A high-performance NVIDIA GT218 (ION2) graphics card provides streaming 3D and video playback. The HDMI connector allows for excellent sound and picture quality and connects the device to modern flat panel displays and large televisions easily.

Other practical connectors include 5x USB, VGA, LAN and Audio. Housed in the small case are a multi-format card reader, a 2.5" hard disk and an optical slimline drive. For added security, it can also be protected against theft using a Kensington lock. The XS35 is passively cooled and therefore practically noiseless - ideal for home use, too.

This innovation will also be on display at this year's CeBIT. The Shuttle trade fair stand is located in Hall 17, Stand G68.

The new Shuttle Barebone XS35 will be available in stores in the second quarter of 2010. The recommended retail price has not yet been fixed.

Το press release της Lenovo για το Q150 πάντως, δεν μας τα λέει καλά:

Αν η τιμή ξεκινάει από 249$ , έχει κανένας αμφιβολία ότι με τα "optional" θα ξεπερνάει τα 500$ ???
Άσε που δεν έχει και spdif....
Zotac και πάλι zotac ... (και ας είναι κουκλί το Lenovo...!)

Το θέμα είναι αν και και πότε θα έρθουν Ελλάδα. Το asus eee box 1501 για παράδειγμα το είδα για ένα πολύ μικρό χρονικό διάστημα σε ένα e-shop και μετά τίποτα. Καλά καλά το acer revo 3610 δε βρίσκεις. Μόνο στο bestdeals.gr υπάρχει. Γενικά η ελληνική αγορά δεν τα πάει καλά με τα nettops, εκτός από τα asrock που τα βρίσκεις παντού.

Αν το θέλεις απλώς για HTPC δεν αξίζει να πληρώσεις την διαφορά και να πάρεις Atom D525 και ION2 - μια χαρά κάνουν την δουλειά τους και οι Atom 330/ION με σημαντική διαφορά στο κόστος....

μου χει ξεμεινει το hdx1080 το οποιο πλεον δεν ανοιγει καν και σκεφτομουνα να αξιοποιησω το κουτακι που ειναι λιτο και απεριτο και με αρεσει , βαζοντας μια miniitx μητρικη.

αξιζει τον κοπο να βρω μια μητρικη d525 με ion να βαλω μνημες και ssd , να βαλω μια καρτα με 1155 και να βρω εναν ι3 η να βρω μτχ ενα ετοιμο κουτακι οπως τα παραπανω και να κανω το hdx γλαστρακι για κακτους?
χρηση htpc , με streaming απο καπου

Αν έχεις χρόνο και πιάνουν τα χέρια σου είναι καλή ιδέα, θα χρειαστεί να κάνεις διάφορες πατέντες για να τοποθετήσεις μητρική και σύστημα ψύξης.

αλλα καλυτερα θα λεγες για d525 η για 1155?
σιγουρα η 1155 θα κανεις περισσοτερα πραμματα θα κοστισει περισσοτερο και θελει πιο πολυ πατεντα για την ψυξη.
απο την αλλη d525 μητρικες πχ zotac εχουν απο 140 μεχρι 200 και δεν μου παει να δωσω τοσο πολλα λεφτα για προιον 2ετιας - εκτος φυσικα αν προκειται οντως για πολυ καλα κομματια
