Room EQ Wizard v4.10

Over at the Home Theater Shack, an ongoing project known as Room EQ Wizard has been showing great potential of late. The newest version, v4.10, is taking it to another level.

The Room EQ Wizard is a Java application that you can use for measuring room response and correcting modal resonances. It can generate test signals, measure SPL, frequency response and impulse response, generate spectral decay plots, waterfalls, energy-time curve and automatically adjust the settings of parametric equalizers to counter the effects of measured room modes.

Room EQ Wizard is completely free and offers support for use with the Behringer Feedback Destroyer Pro models DSP1124P and FBQ2496, including a filter setup via Midi interface. Measurements can be imported from ETF 5 and text or WAV files. The signal generator portion is capable of sine waves, square waves, linear and logarithmic sine sweeps, random pink noise, and periodic pink and white noise. Equally important, it offers compensation for C-weighting when using an external SPL meter as the input and calibration files can be loaded for various microphones and SPL meters.

Amongst the existing feature set, v4.10 now includes:

• Spectrum and RTA Displays
• Reverberation Time Displays
• Extended Range for Waterfall and Spectral Deceay
• Automatic Soundcard Compensation
• Sweep Start Frequency

Ήδη βγήκε το 4.11:

ΝEW (Room EQ Wizard) Version 4.11 has been released today with a few more new features and a few bug fixes as follows...

New features:
* Level of sweep on left ref channel automatically adjusted to get ref input to -6dB FS
* System delay measurement compensates for measurement bandwidth for sweep end frequency >= 200Hz
* Added label to show distance equivalent to the System Delay
* Data import tolerates a mixture of decimal delimiters

Bug fixes:
* Start time of captured data on scope plot was incorrect when using left channel as ref
* Meters were not being disabled properly when the sig gen or spl meter stopped
* When REW was used with a Creative X-Fi the signal generator would only work once This in addition to the Version 4.10 that was released a few days ago.

Πολύ συμπαθητικό.

Εχω δοκιμάσει προηγούμενες εκδόσεις και είναι αρκετά αξιόπιστο.

Οι μετρήσεις μέσω ντεσιμπελομέτρων της Radio Shack είναι λιγότερο αξιόπιστες σε σχέση με αυτές των μετρητικών μικροφώνων.
