Νέα σειρά  τηλεοράσεων LCD παρουσίασε η Samsung.
Έχει τρία μοντέλα 32, 40 και 46 ιντσών, LN-S3296D, LN-S4096D, LN-S4696D, από τα οποία τα δύο(40,46 ιντσών) είναι 1080p.
Έχουν CCF lamp, S-PVA panel, 10bit processor και 12.8 δισεκατομμύρια χρώματα.

Στην Ελλάδα μπορεί βέβαια να εμφανιστεί και του χρόνου - ελπίζω η αλλαγή πολιτικής τιμών και διαθεσιμότητας που διαφαίνεται με τη σειρα R7 να συνεχιστεί...

A joint venture between Sony (NYSE: SNE)  and Samsung  making liquid crystal display TV panels will invest an additional 28 billion yen, or US$239 million, to boost production, the companies said Wednesday.

The move is the latest effort by the Tangjeong, South Korea-based joint venture, S-LCD Corp., to meet the brisk demand for large-size flat panel TVs, according to Takashi Uehara, a spokesperson for Sony.

The two companies are normally rivals in the cutthroat electronics business, but Sony convinced Samsung Electronics to form the 50-50 joint venture because it did not produce its own liquid crystal display panels and needed a way to quickly catch up to meet surging consumer demand.

The planned investment will enable S-LCD to increase capacity by 15,000 panels to 90,000 per month by early 2007, according to a statement issued by the joint venture.

It follows an investment plan released in November to boost its monthly capacity by 15,000 panels to 75,000 by July 2006 with an investment worth 10 billion yen ($85 million) from the current capacity of 60,000.
