Mείωση της τάξεως του 20% στις τιμές των LCD TVs προβλέπει για το 2007 ο Stan Glasgow, πρόεδρος και CEO της SONY στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες.

"Sony is predicting that the retail price of LCD TVs will plunge another 20 per cent this year, but adds it still expects to make money. “We are going to be profitable, but it’s going to be tight,” admits US president and chief operating officer Stan Glasgow. Glasgow is confident that high-performance, good-looking sets will be able to charge a premium over the cheaper competition.
The marketing success of the Bravia brand will also be exploited further, as Sony applies the name to other products, including its SXRD microdisplay projection TVs and home cinema systems (the company finally junking the Grand Wega and Cineza names in the process).
Sony will tell people that Bravia stands for Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Architecture. It doesn’t of course, the name was chosen by boss Sir Howard Stringer because the word sounds good in multiple languages."
