Willem Dafoe joins Matt Damon in epic The Great Wall

Hot off of Best Picture contender The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Hollywood Reporter says actor Willem Dafoe is lending his trademark grin to director Zhang Yimou’s epic The Great Wall, in which he will star opposite Matt Damon and Pedro Pascal.

There is no word on whether this is the same role that Dafoe’s John Carter co-star Bryan Cranston was up for last year, as details are being kept under wraps. Dafoe is currently set to voice a role in the Pixar sequel Finding Dory, in addition to headlining My Hindu Friend for director Hector Babenco (Kiss of the Spider Woman)
