Το "The Imitation Game" είναι μια ταινία για τον πατέρα της επιστήμης των υπολογιστών και μαθηματικό Alan Turing. Τον μεγάλο επιστήμονα ερμηνεύει ο Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek Into Darkness).
Ο Alan Turing ήταν μαθηματική ιδιοφυΐα που θεωρείται ο πατέρας των ηλεκτρονικών υπολογιστών ενώ στην ταινία θα μας απασχολήσει η δουλειά του στο σπάσιμο του περίφημου κώδικα "Enigma" της Ναζιστικής Γερμανίας κατά τη διάρκεια του Β ‘Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου που έσωσε πολλές ζωές και τον έκανε ήρωα πολέμου.
Ωστόσο ο Turing ανεξάρτητα από την πρωτοποριακή έρευνα του που τον έκανε να μείνει στην ιστορία, είχε διωχθεί ποινικά για την ομοφυλοφιλία του και καταδικάστηκε σε χημικό ευνουχισμό.
Τον Benedict Cumberbatch πλαισιώνουν στο cast οι Keira Knightley (Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy), Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes), Matthew Goode (Watchmen), και Charles Dance (Game Of Thrones).
