Takis Tsoukalas is a prominent member of the Greek team's, Olympiakos Piraeus, "Gate 7" fan club. Tsoukalas is famous to the Greek public for hosting the midnight Olympiakos fans' show "Ante geia" on the "TV Magic" channel. Sometimes he appears on the "Gate 7" TV show as well, behind his fellow "Gate 7" member and friend, Alekos. In these shows, Tsoukalas is often confronted through the telephone with fans of other Greek teams.
In his ordinary life, he works as a gardener for the Intrakom corporation, which is owned by Sokrates Kokalis, the president of the Olympiakos team. In 2005, Tsoukalas was attacked by an angry mob of Panathinaikos fans who set his car alight. Thankfully, Tsoukalas managed to escape with minor injuries. An olympiakos fan "by birth", Takis Tsoukalas is the most characteristic figure in Karaiskaki Stadium nowadays.
Although criticized for his explosive character, it is generally admitted that Tsoukalas is a very honest and true person. He can not tolerate lies and inaccuracies. Therefore, when provoked by opposing fans, he boldly replies to their lies and cuts their live phone line, using his favorite response "Ante geia!" (Άντε γειά!). "Ante geia" in Greek means "goodbye", but when used aggressively, it can also mean "Piss off!". Tsoukalas is recognised for his straight, provocative, simple and clear style of speaking. He is well known for many quotes, that are based on folk wisdom and common sense.
