This session will go into detail on how Windows supports these technologies and what you need to do to enable them. Τα Windows 10 θα καταλαμβάνουν μικρότερο χώρο στο δίσκο από τα προηγούμενα λειτουργικά της Microsoft και θα έχουν πιο εξελιγμένες δυνατότητες επανεγκατάστησης και recovery.

Windows devices can be lightweight and highly mobile, yet, when you need it, have the full capabilities of the Windows OS. The Windows Storage and Deployment Teams, the people who bring modern storage APIs, Storage Sense, setup, and servicing to your phone, tablet, laptop, and desktop would like to introduce you to how they are giving Windows 10 a compact footprint.

Without a separate recovery image, the Refresh and Reset functionalities will instead rebuild the operating system in place using runtime system files. Not only does this take up less disk space, it also means you will not have a lengthy list of operating system updates to reinstall after recovering your device.

Even though Windows no longer requires a separate recovery image, Windows can still recover a device from severe corruption. With Windows 10, you can create your own recovery media and back up the pristine state of the operating system and preinstalled software. If things go wrong and you are unable to refresh or reset your device successfully, you can boot the device using recovery media and reset to the prior pristine state.

Windows Hello, βιομετρικό σύστημα αναγνώρισης χρήστη
Η χρήση του δακτυλικού αποτυπώματος, η αναγνώριση προσώπου ή της ίριδας του ματιού δεν είναι νέες τεχνολογίες, χρησιμοποιούνται ήδη αρκετά χρόνια αλλά απαιτούσαν πρόσθετο software για να λειτουργήσουν με τα Windows.
H Microsoft ενσωμάτωσε το βιομετρικό σύστημα αναγνώρισης χρήστη στα Windows 10 με αποτέλεσμα το συμβατό hardware.
H Microsoft ανακοίνωσε το "Passport", τρόπος αυθεντικοποίησης του χρήστη συμβατός με το πρότυπο FIDO, για ασφαλή πρόσβαση σε on-line υπηρεσίες.

Αναβάθμιση σε Windows 10...
Τα Windows 7 SP1 και τα Windows 8.1 S14 θα μπορούν να αναβαθμιστούν σε Windows 10 με τη χρήση media(USB flash, DVD) ή μέσω του Windows Update.
Τα Windows 7 RTM , Windows 8 και Windows 8.1 RTM θα αναβαθμίζονται μόνο με τη χρήση media.
Τα Windows RT δεν θα αναβαθμίζονται σε Windows 10(κάνουν μλκ, ελπίζω να το ξανασκεφτούν).

Today Microsoft announced Windows Hello, a new Windows 10 authentication feature supported by the Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera. Windows Hello will use facial recognition and other biometrics to let people access their Windows 10 devices and supported apps and sites without a password. Intel has a vision for a "no passwords" user experience, so we are excited to work closely with Microsoft to enable Windows Hello on all existing and future systems with the Intel RealSense 3D Camera.
