Introduction

The new top-of-the-range model. Universal all-in-one solution to play video up to Full HD (1080p), combines in one case: universal HD media player and the up-to-date Blu-ray player.

Dune HD Max features the powerful modern Sigma Designs SMP8642/8643 video processor, and a built-in silent optical drive that allows the Dune HD Max to play anything from CDDA to DVD and Blu-ray disks. The player also has a 3.5" SATA HDD rack with hot-swap support, an SD card slot, and 3 high-speed USB 2.0 ports to connect external storage and extension modules.

One of the main features that distinguishes this media player from its competitors is its special compartment for extension boards. The compartment is located behind a panel at the rear of the media player. Up to 2 boards can be installed simultaneously.

The new device justifiably promises to be as successful as its predecessors in the 3.0 series, which won all possible industry awards, and came out top in all the comparative tests conducted by different high-profile technology publications around the world. The company’s new product series introduces a revolutionary concept of creating a home theatre system hub. This is the first media-platform on the market to adopt a modular approach, which allows the features of the base module (media-player) to be augmented simply by adding extension modules.

Depending on requirements, the user initially will have a choice of three different base module configurations: Smart B1 (media player with a built-in silent Blu-ray optical drive),Smart H1 (media player with a SATA HDD rack with hot-swap support), and Smart D1 (media player with a built in display and optionally installed a 3.5’’ SATA hard drive).

As well as this, anyone who owns a media player from the Dune HD Smart series will be able to add new features to the player using the optional extension modules, the following three of which will be available shortly: Smart HE (a “hot swap” hard drive compartment), Smart BE (a Blu-ray optical drive module), and Smart ME (a module for two extension boards).

Extension boards for DVB-T/T2, DVB-S/S2, and DVB-C (terrestrial, satellite and cable TV) will be available for the ME module at first. Some of the boards will also include a slot for CAM cards which will allow to watch encrypted TV channels.

The number of modules available for the Dune HD Smart will increase in the future. One of the important features of the Dune HD Smart extension modules is their compatibility with the just announced new company’s flagship model the Dune HD Max.

A standard Dune HD Smart system layout consists of two, three or more components, one of which is the base module (media player), and the rest extension modules. Remarkably, all the modules in the HD Smart series are identical in size and design, this allows you to combine them into one system any way you like. For example, if you install two Smart HE modules, one ME and BE module to the Dune HD Smart D1 base module, you would even surpass the capabilities of the Dune HD Max media player.

What’s also interesting is that people who own more than one module from the Dune HD Smart series will be able to connect several modules together. Special fasten brackets to connect two or three modules will be separately available.



Furthermore, when three modules are connected together, such a set has exactly the front size and close look of Dune HD Max. It means that any such set of Dune HD Smart modules can easily fit into the rack with high class AV equipment at user’s home.

Each of the base Dune HD Smart modules features three standard USB 2.0 ports to connect external storage and extension devices, as well as a USB slave port (excluding the Smart B1).

In terms of functionality, the Dune HD Smart media players are no less capable than the current 3.0 ranges. They support practically all audio and standard and high definition video formats and play DVD and Blu-ray discs (Smart B1 or media player with the Smart BE module) and images with ease. Special notice should be taken of the fast networking speeds, the IPTV and Internet Radio functions, as well as the built-in torrent-client and Internet browser, not to mention the constant product development. New functions and supported formats are brought to the Dune HD players with the release of each firmware version.

The MSRP with VAT in Europe for the base modules of Dune HD Smart series will be in a range of EUR 249 and EUR 309. For USA the MSRP range will be USD 239 - USD 299.

For the first 3 available extension modules the MSRP range will be in between EUR 75 and EUR 149 for Europe, including VAT, and between USD 79 and USD 159 for USA market.

All six models of Dune HD Smart products will be available in Internet and retail stores all over the World starting of September 2010.

Ας είναι καλά τα ξεκλείδωτα δίκτυα των ξενοδοχείων!!
Να σε ρωτήσω κάτι? Πέρα από το ότι το prime με το max παίρνουν διαφορετικό σκληρό (2,5 αντί 3,5") και το prime έχει και e-sata ποιά άλλη διαφορά έχουν?

Οι διαφορές που υπάρχουν είναι οι εξής:
Το Max θα έχει 1 sd card slot όπου θα μπορείς να βάλεις μια sd κάρτα για το bd-live ή να βλέπεις φωτογραφίες,βίντεο από κάμερα κλπ
Με το sata rack θα είναι πολύ πιο εύκολο να αλλάζεις σκληρό δίσκο απ'ότι στο Prime
Και το πολύ σημαντικό στο πίσω μέρος του Max υπάρχουν 2 extension boards δηλ. 2 θύρες επέκτασης όπου θα μπορείς να προσθέσεις δέκτη για DVB-T/T2, DVB-S/S2, and DVB-C (terrestrial, satellite and cable TV).Θα υπάρχει και επιλογή οι δέκτες αυτοί να έρχονται και με ci module για να βλέπεις συνδρομητικά κανάλια.Πότε θα βγουν αυτοί οι δέκτες άγνωστο.Σύντομα θα είναι διαθέσιμοι, αναφέρει η HDI στο site της.
Οπως καταλαβαίνεις πάει να μπλεχτεί και με τα δορυφορικά τώρα.Να δούμε πως θα πάει!

Επίσης αρχικά τόσο τα Max όσο και τα Smart θα έχουν τα ίδια chips με τα Prime & Base 3.0. Από το 1ο τετράμηνο του 2011 όμως που θα είναι διαθέσιμα τα νέα chips 8646,οι κάτοχοι των max & smart θα μπορούν να αναβαθμίσουν τους players με τα νέα chips.

Αυτό σημαίνει ότι θα υπάρχει δυνατότητα και για κάποιο είδος 3D σε ανάλογη τηλεόραση ή προβολέα βέβαια.Πιθανόν με firmware update να έχουν αυτή τη δυνατότητα και τα Prime 3.0 & Base 3.0 Να δούμε κι αυτό πως θα υλοποιηθεί!
Επίσης τα νέα μοντέλα δεν αντικαθιστούν τα prime & base,που θα συνεχίσουν να κυκλοφορούν κανονικά,απλά διευρύνουν τη γκάμα των players της HDI.

Θα πάρεις το D1 και όταν με το καλό γεννηθεί το δεύτερο τέκνο,μετά από λίγο καιρό θα σου δείξει κι άλλο θετικό τεστ.Σαν τρίτεκνος λοιπόν που θα γίνεις σύντομα απ'ότι βλέπω, θα πάρεις το επίδομα από την "Ελληνική" κυβέρνηση και θα πάρεις και το B1 για να έχεις και blu ray player!!!:612::612::612:

3 θετικα τεστ εγκυμοσυνης που εκανε σημερα!

Την κατσαμε την βαρκα πατριωτη!

Πατριώτη, τόσο κοντά σε ηλικία που θα είναι τα παιδιά, μάλλον με...διαρκείας σε σούπερ μάρκετ για πάνες σε βλέπω, όχι για D1!!
Εκτός αν βγουνε και πάνες με αυτό το όνομα:114:
