Θα παιξει την Maid Marian στην ταινια που σκηνοθετει ο Ridley Scott πλαι στον Russell Crowe.

Τα γυρισματα ξεκινουν τον Απριλιο.

SPLICE του Vincenzo Natali

Ο Καναδός σκηνοθέτης των CUBE και NOTHING, Vincenzo Natali, επανέρχεται επιτέλους πίσω από τις κάμερες με το SPLICE, μια ταινία τρόμου τα γυρίσματα της οποίας ξεκινούν στα τέλη Φεβρουαρίου στο Τορόντο του Καναδά. Το site Bloody-Disgusting.com δημοσίευσε πληροφορίες σχετικά με τους πρωταγωνιστές και έτσι στους ήδη γνωστούς Adrien Brody και Sarah Polley θα προστεθούν οι Delphine Chaneac, ο τακτικός του Natali David Hewlett (CUBE, NOTHING) και ο Brandon McGibbon.

Η ταινία ασχολείται με δυο νεαρούς επιστήμονες που αψηφούν τα ηθικά και νομικά διλήμματα και πειραματίζονται με την ένωση ανθρώπινου και ζωικού DNA με στόχο τη δημιουργία ενός νέου οργανισμού. Αυτό έχει σαν αποτέλεσμα τη μεταμόρφωση του πειραματόζωου από όμορφη γυναίκα σε φτερωτή χίμαιρα που αναπτύσσει έναν θανατηφόρο δεσμό με τους δημιουργούς της.

H ταινια θα κανει πρεμιερα τον Σεπτεμβριο του 2009.

THE BOOK OF ELI FIRST PHOTO

The film centers on a lone warrior (Washington) who must fight to bring society the knowledge that could be the key to its redemption. Gary Oldman plays the despot of a small makeshift town who's determined to take possession of the book Eli's guarding.

The studio is targeting a January 15, 2010 release.

Ο Ανγκ Λι πρόεδρος της κριτικής επιτροπής του Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Βενετίας

Ο σκηνοθέτης της ταινίας Brokeback Mountain θα είναι ο πρόεδρος της κριτικής επιτροπής του φετινού Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Βενετίας, σύμφωνα με τους διοργανωτές.

Ο Ταϊβανέζος σκηνοθέτης έχει κερδίσει δύο φορές το Χρυσό Λιοντάρι, μία το 2005 για το Brokeback Mountain και μία το 2007 για το Προσοχή, Πόθος.

Σε ανακοίνωσή τους, οι διοργανωτές του Φεστιβάλ αναφέρουν ότι ο Ανγκ Λι «αποτελεί έναν από τους πλέον επιτυχημένους σκηνοθέτες, έχοντας καταφέρει να δημιουργήσει έναν διάλογο ανάμεσα στην κινηματογραφική κουλτούρα της Ανατολής και της Δύσης».

Αυτή την εποχή, ο σκηνοθέτης ολοκληρώνει την ταινία Talking Woodstock, για το θρυλικό μουσικό φεστιβάλ.

Terrence Malick's Tree of Life Has IMAX-Sized Dinosaurs?!

Σε συνεντευξη στο περιοδικο EMPIRE ο Mike Fink - Υπευθυνος για τα effects δηλωσε :

We're just starting work on a project for Terrence Malick, animating dinosaurs, the film is The Tree of Life, starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn.

It'll be showing in IMAX — so the dinosaurs will actually be life size — and the shots of the creatures will be long and lingering."

H Megan Fox θα παιξει σε 2 ταινιες βασισμενες σε comic books.

1 . Jonah Hex

2 . Fathom

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star Megan Fox is in final negotiations to star opposite Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in Jonah Hex, Warner Bros.' action Western based on the DC Comics character. She also is attached to star and develop Fathom, Fox Atomic's comic book-based underwater adventure.

In "Hex," being directed by Jimmy Hayward, Fox will play Leila, a gun-wielding beauty and love interest of Hex (Brolin), a scarred bounty hunter tracking a voodoo practitioner (Malkovich) who wants to raise an army of undead to liberate the South.

The movie is prepping for a shoot in April, with Mad Chance's Andrew Lazar and Weed Road's Akiva Goldsman producing.

Fathom, a comic created by recently deceased artist Michael Turner, follows a young woman named Aspen who learns she is a member of a race of aquatic humanoids who possess the ability to control water.

Fathom is being written by Jordan Mechner, the creator of video game "Prince of Persia." Peter Safran is producing with Steve Bessen and Brian Austin Green. Fox also will produce in some capacity. Turner will be credited as executive producer. Frank Mastromauro also is executive producing.

Sucker Punch

Αυτος ειναι ο τιτλος της νεας ταινιας του Zack Snyder ( 300 , Watchmen ) στην οποια το cast θα ειναι γυναικειο σχεδον εξ ολοκληρου.

Τα ονοματα που εχουν ακουστει μεχρι στιγμης οτι θα παιζουν ειναι : Amanda Seyfried, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Evan Rachel Wood & Emma Stone.

Set in the 1950s, "Punch" follows a girl who is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world, she begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man.

Snyder, who co-wrote the script with Steve Shibuya, has described the fantasy world as " 'Alice in Wonderland' with machine guns," blending such elements as dragons, B-52 bombers and brothels.

Seyfried would play Babydoll, the institutionalized girl.

If deals are completed, the rest would play Seyfried's fellow inmates who also travel into the alternate reality. Hudgens would play a character named Blondie, Cornish would play Sweet Pea, Wood would play Rocket and Stone would play Amber.
