Bay posted the following on his message board, :

Steven Spielberg sat next to me in a big 100 person theater at Sony today. There were 98 empty seats. The lights came up after we just watched my cut of Revenge of the Fallen. He turned to me and said
"It's awesome". He felt this movie was better then the first - and probably my best, who knows - at this point in a movie you start to lose your objectivity. I just hope the fans like it. I'm going to start putting it in front of audiences in a few weeks - no you are not invited, yet.

We have 60 days left. Let me tell you it will be a race to finish. It's 12 at night and we are still working here in the edit room. Everyone at ILM and DD are killing themselves right now, they are doing a stellar job on the effects. We also just finished our trailer which is coming out with Wolverine. Talk to you soon

WANTED 2

Evan Spiliotopoulos, co-writer of Pooh's Heffalump Movie and its DVD Halloween spin-off, has been hired to write Universal's action sequel Wanted 2, based on a story by Chris Morgan.

Like the original 2008 film, the in-development sequel is based on the comic series created by Mark Millar and J.G. Jones.

Marc E. Platt and Jim Lemley are producing with Timur Bekmambetov, who directed the first film and is attached to helm the sequel.

Hobbit Update Straight from Guillermo del Toro !

In the upcoming 20th anniversary issue of Empire, the Brits have another big announcement to make, this time from Guillermo del Toro and Peter Jackson about the very highly anticipated The Hobbit. "We've decided to have The Hobbit span the two movies, including the White Council and the comings and goings of Gandalf to Dol Guldur," del Toro reveals. It was originally announced in late 2006 that The Hobbit would become two movies, however the story contained within the book would be adapted solely into the first movie itself, and a "bridge" story to span the LOTR gap would be written specifically for the second movie.

It was an idea that a lot of hardcore J.R.R. Tolkien fans were not very fond of, but of course, that was an early decision and del Toro and Jackson seem to have changed their minds. "We decided it would be a mistake to try to cram everything into one movie," Jackson said. "The essential brief was to do The Hobbit, and it allows us to make The Hobbit in a little more style, if you like, of the [LOTR] trilogy." Does this mean we might even see a trilogy, with that extra bridge movie still thrown in for good measure (and triple the earnings)? I highly doubt it, but if you're a big LOTR fan and still want to be hopeful, then go right ahead.

This is great news for those who were upset at their original plan, and even better news for those of who just want to see The Hobbit adapted as perfectly as possible. Although, this means we probably won't see the return of Viggo Mortensen's Aragorn or other characters that were rumored to potentially appear in that bridge, since it would introduce a few of our Lord of the Rings friends.

First Official Behind-the-Scenes Photo from Tintin

Just like James Cameron's Avatar, the powers that be have tricked us yet again with the very first photo from The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. Revealed on Empire this morning, the photo is another simple behind-the-scenes shot of Jamie Bell and Andy Serkis in their motion capture outfits with Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson standing by. As a reminder (and if you couldn't tell by reading the names on their outfits), Bell plays Tintin, Serkis plays Captain Haddock, and they're joined by Daniel Craig , Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Tony Curran, and a few others.
