Γιάννηηηηηη..!!!!!
Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, out now (and sold out) in Moscow!
Finally, it seems that the wait is over! The very first European 5800 XpressMusic was sold in Moscow, Russia, without annoucements, but with great results.
The first european delivery of 50 Nokia "Tubes" was made yesterday in Moscow, the phones were priced at 15.000 rubles (429 Eur) and, from the time the phone was put on shelves, to the sold-out annouced, only 44 minutes passed.
The store sold 50 phones a little more than half an hour, meaning 1,13 phones sold per minute. The shop staff said they had never seen something like this, even with the iphones, and the most important thing to consider, is that no advertising has been made, nor the launch was annouced by Nokia. The phones, when arrived, were put on display in the shop, that’s all.
Right after this news arrive to Nokia, so they decided to deliver 120 more phones to the store today, to be sold starting from 17:00 today. I guess that they are already sold now
With this strange experiment, it seems that Nokia is willmanage to achieve an outstanding result: to sell, in Moscow and in one week only, more Nokia 5800 than iPhones, without any kind of advertising, and without even annoucing the release date!
Bye bye, Apple!
